Not going to get many responses on those choices IMO

I like grimes though

I've posted it before, but she played at red star in Baton Rouge last year to about 20 people.

Don't expect everyone to agree with them but I welcome others choices.

Interesting. She sold out the show at the world famous Bottletree here in Birmingham.

I am not sure what my final year end list will look like, but for now I think the top 5 would be:

Animal Collective- Centipede Hz
Cloud Nothings- Attack on Memory
Beach House- Bloom
Titus Andronicus- Local Business

And then one from the following:

Japandroids- Celebration Rock
Twin Shadow- Confess
The Tallest Man on Earth- There's No Leaving Now

Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory

(big gap)

Titus Andronicus - Local Business
Japandroids - Celebration Rock
Of Monsters and Men - My Head is an Animal
Diamond Rugs - S/T

Actually, I could easily fill out a top 10, but I view this year as Cloud Nothings and then some other stuff came out. It's by far my favorite album this year. Nothing is close.

I was slightly dissapointed with this or it just hasn't clicked with me yet. The video was great though.

Twin Shadow- Confess
The Tallest Man on Earth- There's No Leaving Now

Me too. Sucks that popular music has sunk so low. I remember popular music actually was good when I was growing up.

do it now. Stop whatever you are doing and listen to this album and get some insight into what Fugazi would sound like if they had come up now instead of the late 80s/early 90s.

Speaking of which... I must get the new Evens album.

Ouch!

No hard feelings, but it's really stupid to come onto the music board and try to rip on others because you are narrow minded. Maybe I misunderstood you.
