Can Somebody Please Explain the Infatuation with "Screamo" Music?

I don't get it. I have two co-workers that love it and think it's awesome. They play the shite non-stop. And I love regular rock and roll. But hell, this shite sounds like jus a bunch of noise.
Am I missing something here? Is there something about this "music" that makes it appealing?

Pretty easy to ask them to turn it down or wear headphones instead of whining about it. Some people have different tastes. Get over it. I will never understand some people's fascination with jazz.. I don't cry when jazz is within an earshot.

The quality of radio rock has taken a huge dive over the last 10 years. Foo Fighters is the only "mainstream" rock band that I consider truly talented anymore.
