Absolutely agree. The s/t album is the only weak thing in their catalog, imo.

Also, I only have the Varsity show to go on, but it was not "bad" or "meh" or "average".

Yes

3 times - UNO back in the day, Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA and Sonar in Baltimore. The small club show was by far the best.

White Pony > Diamond Eyes

Strike yourself in the face immediately. I've never seen them live but I plan on it.

Love them.

Yes! The Varsity in 2013! Probably the best show I've ever seen there with a close runner up of Arctic Monkeys...

White Pony. Of Course

I love Deftones.

I saw them live at the house of blues in New Orleans when they were touring on Saturday night wrist. It was fricking awesome.

Saturday Night Wrist is my favorite now. I feel like people really stopped paying attention to them after white pony, but I think all the records they made after that are stellar.

Around the fur is genius

Adrenaline is a close second

Put on some "head up" and go fricking crazy

They do suck live though.

Love them.

Saw them at the Varsity. Crowd was crazy, but they sounded great.

Favorite album(s) has to be some of the newer stuff. Saturday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes, and Koi No Yokan are all amazing. Moments of that droning, mesmerizing sound mixed with the aggression. Love it.

I love Saturday Night Wrist. Their latest albums are certainly my favorites. Definitely a far more evolved sound than the early stuff. I think the more polished Team Sleep sound has found its way into Deftones, which is a good thing.

Was that the dredg tour? That show was fantastic start to finish. dredg came out with Ode to the Sun and the entire crowd went from not knowing who they were to jamming along in about 30 seconds. I ended up watching most of the Deftones set from upstairs with the guys from dredg.

I want to like them & have tried many times. I enjoy the music, but the vocals bore me and seem to drone on with a similar tone in every song.

Yes
It's really a tie between Saturday Night Wrist or Koi No Yokan
