Insanely talent band that was never my cup of tea. Can easily understand how others love them.

I love them but I can understand people who don't. They aren't for everyone. Women especially hate them. I think they are musical geniuses.

One of the most technically sound bands of all time and arguably the best drummer of all time.

and Subdivisions is a masterpiece...

All I'm saying is that when Tom Sawyer comes on the radio, I turn into Neil Peart and my whole truck becomes a drumset.

I used to feel the same way, but recently started paying more attention to them. I actually purchased a bit of their early stuff. Not bad.

Geds voice was at its peak in the 70s and early 80s. His range tapered off in the late 80s, hit bottom in the early 90s, then went to total shite.

Rush is great but also the Dungeons and Dragons of rock bands. A little too nerdy for most people.

Now that all the dads have reached an unsurprising consensus on the quintessential dadrock band maybe we can discuss a more controversial topic like favorite new balances

Are you a grey new balance or white new balance kind of guy?

The guy that did Hungry Eyes? Cool, that’s music right there.

Here’s a better quote:

how were the runaways?

Glad I can expand - thanks
I was 16 at that time...Saginaw, Michigan; Wendler Arena
The Runaways had a ton of talent as solo careers later boasted. Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Jackie Fox. At that age I couldn't wait to see the sexy Cherie Currie

Truth of the matter was every ticket buyer was there to see RUSH! The entire arena was so loud yelling "Rush! Rush! Rush!" that Cherie Currie got pissed, spiked the mic on stage, and stormed off upset. The Runaway's were done for the night.
It was awesome
