Better album: Pearl Jam Ten or Nirvana Nevermind?

I think the average quality of the songs on Ten is much better, despite the fact that Nevermind owns the defining song of the grunge movement.

Kurt Cobains death elevated Nirvanas place in history. I like them, but they are not the band the public perceives them to be. Pearl Jam is legendary, Nirvana is a solid band.

Nirvana was absolutely a huge influence on early 1990's alternative/grunge music and

Ten is a strong arena rock album, but Nevermind is blow your doors off awesome. Ten is a much “safer” album, which explains its enduring popularity. Nevermind was a game changer (/obligatory Mudoney reference).

well maybe that makes Nevermind a more influential album. but i still think Ten is a better album. It rocks harder and the songs are more enjoyable.

I don't see their being a comparison. Nirvana really aggervates me. How many more times do we have to see Cobain at the top of a greatest guitarist list or see Nirvana atop the greatest bands of all times list? Was their potiental there, sure. But jesus frick Nirvana
