Is your reading comprehension as piss poor as your lying?

This isn't to say that Spanish Moon's is amazing, but at least the bar and the staff aren't as bad as the Varsity's.

So this thread is about staff and the bar or the venue?

You're moving the goalpost, bro.

Wrong again. You mentioned how many of BR's venues were far from perfect. That certainly includes the Varsity. It isn't head and shoulders above the rest.

It's the premier venue. There isn't one better from a national standpoint. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

When a band like Umphreys or Deftones goes into a room they bring their own Front of House engineer.

You're also not taking into acct that said touring sound engineer is getting blasted by 95 - 100db for hours on end a month at a time. What may sound "perfect" to him, might not sound perfect to you or I.

Welcome to Live Sound 101.

That was by far the best I've ever heard The Deftones sound live.

The Varsity still has a history of shows with poor sound quality.

Shenanigans. I've been to shows in dozens and dozens of venues and The Varsity is definitely the best out of the "bars" in Baton Rouge. S'Moon sucks for sound. Say whatever you want, but any acoustical engineer will walk into that room and instantly tell you that the sound is going to suck in there. I honestly think it sounds better on the balcony than on the floor, but it's still mediocre at best.

Red Dragon Listening Room. I've see legends play there in between shows and the rest of BR has no clue they were even in the city.

I really dont see how anyone can argue that the Varsity is the best place to see music within a certain capacity...

not taking into account, staff, certain sound guys and the shitty bands it often gets...

If it's not a big band, and the draw is limited it can def be argued that its a bad spot...

**Manship is also very good but limited due to the actual seating

I know who the Doc and his band is IRL. I just mess with him because he acts the way he does yet is too pussy to post any of his own music.
