So they can play to 20 people?
I love the band but c'mon man
Fair to Midland, Judgement Day, and Scale the Summit, please.
Seriously, though, Mew is possible doing a US tour in 2013, although I doubt there is any way the Varsity can swing that.

They have had just terrible talent guys. If they booked a lot of moderately known bands especially out of NOLA instead of getting a big name(usually washed up) every 5 months it would be crazy successful.
Oh, and put a hard annual limit on the number of times they book Better Than Ezra...

The varsity is the best venue in BR as far as space, sound, and acoustics. Period.
I love mud and water, Chelsea's and spanish moon, but all three have flaws as far as being the "perfect" venue IMO. Whether its space, sound, sound guy, etc.
Saenger theatre is the best venue in Nola, but as far as current venue, mahalia Jackson is great.
HOB Nola is awkward and the sight lines are bad. Not a great setup.
I personally like the parish room. Great sound, great acoustics.
One eyed jacks has great sound as well.

Tell them to grab the kid carsons and come play a show. No need to be gay.

HFTRR was contacted last month and they know we are interested and hopefully are on their radar for a BR show.

They played at Dmac's this past weekend and at the Howlin Wolf last Wednesday.
If the come back home to LC for Easter I will try to convince them to find a BR gig

I stand corrected I just have seen all those bands too many times so I glance over them.
They should book some big Cajun or Zydeco acts. I bet Keith Frank or the LBR would do better than Cheeweez or some of the other regular acts.

Not nearly enough love in this thread for The Maple Leaf.
