Nice. Staying with Tarantino, I'll throw in "Girl you'll be a woman soon" by Urge Overkill in Pulp Fiction

I always liked the use of Running on Empty by Jackson Browne in Forest Gump.

The song and the movie play a prominent part in Pitch Perfect. Whether one likes Pitch Perfect is not the issue.

The point is that the song/movie combo jumped across 30 years to reach another generation.

And to think, the song was an album afterthought until the movie.

Lots of good opinions in this thread. A few that come to mind:

Bittersweet Symphony : Cruel Intentions

Sister Christian : Boogie Nights

Eye of the Tiger: Rocky

Yep. I’m surprised he didn’t find a way to squeeze Gimme Shelter into Gangs of New York.

Having gone through fertility issues and a problem pregnancy with my wife, it's This Woman's Work by Kate Bush from She's Having a Baby.

About Ingloious, I thought the song played just as they were starting the theater fire, but I saw that scene last night and didn’t hear it. Weird.

That's a good one. But I'd go with My Cherie Amour in the scene where Penny is getting her stomach pumped after OD'ing on Quaaludes. Here's this totally broken girl, at rock bottom, and William is still hopelessly in love with her. And it's an unrequited love. It's beautiful and sad and heartbreaking all at the same time.

It's played when Shosanna is dolling herself up.
