Maybe because there were albums between And Justice For All, and the Black Album?
there was?
I don't think so.
There was an EP between Master and Justice and another between Justice and the Black album but that's it.

It's freaking awesome. Go listen to it. Like, now. I think it's their best album, aside from Twin Cameras.
Will do.
I listened to it. It's very good.

I'm pretty much with you. I'd say that, in a sense, those three albums not only defined the Stones but invented a genre
Nah. If we're giving any band credit for creating a genre, it's gotta be Led Zep. How many bands prior to Led Zep sounded like them? I'm counting zero. How many since have tried to sound pretty much exactly like them? Like 892, give or take?

I'd extend that at least through Presence for a 7 album run. If I had to limit it to just 5 then I'd drop I & II and add Physical Graffiti and Presence. I know it's sacrilege for a lot of people but I prefer the later, more progressive, Zeppelin.
I'm a huge Zep fan, but have listened to them always on a song by song basis and not a complete album by album basis (exception: Houses of the Holy). Did they ever put out a bad album?

Have you listened to the new album? I doubt it. And El Camino sounds nothing like brothers. Turn Blue is more slow spacey than the others. This is why i tend to stay away from the Music Board. Instead of a discussion of music it's always a bash what you dont like and praise 2 chainz, drake, and phish over everything else. You wanna talk about complete consistency with absolutly no variety or innovation? I'll submit the collective majority taste of the Music Board.

Did you even read the thread?

I enjoy the Black Keys sound. But there is hardly any innovation from album to album. Plus they are pretty meh live. I enjoy hearing a BK song on the radio every now and then but I will not willingly see them in concert again.

I take the collective's opinions with a grain of salt here.
I mean shite, I submitted Michael fricking Jackson and got downvoted

This board generally has good taste outside of the red dirt, WSPSUX, and Drake cults.

I've seen them 6 times. Once they werent on top of their game but it was still a great show. I'll have to disagree here. If they arent your style, that's fine, but their albums do not sound the same. It's inarguable that their sound has changed a couple times since they started, and the new one has plenty of experimentation on it.
