After watching the worst tribute to Lionel Richie at the AMA's last night...it got me thinking...
What is the best live performance you have seen on TV at an awards show/Super Bowl Halftime Show/Halftime/etc...
Michael Jackson: Man In The Mirror 1988 Grammy's

Prince during Superbowl half-time in the pouring rain. Miami 2006

I saw Prince live in Miami for the Colts/Bears in the rain and he was awesome. The game itself was miserable.

At least in my top 5 - Heart doing Stairway to Heaven in Tribute to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center. On the drums is the son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham who had passed away.

Probably prince
This solo is what legends are made of
LINK UTUBE
Best concert I have been to was Rob Zombie. His energy is unmatched. Incubus in the 90's was awesome, the past few years they just haven't had the energy they had before their pop hits. Greenday puts on an excellent show. I'll round it out with Korn and Disturbed. I have been to other shows but nothing hits like a rock concert, there is a different energy.

Given the context and his age, that dead drummer from Foo Fighter’s kid was pretty impressive.

The Weeknd's Super Bowl Performance is the best vocal performance I've ever seen on TV.
So many people incorrectly assume his voice is auto-tuned b/c he makes electro-pop music. But it's not.

I remember being young, and watching this. Still remember it vividly.
Queen with Bowie was also pretty epic.
