Everyone skips ahead to Rubber Soul or Revolver but Beatles for Sale has some absolute bangers on it.

And the most underrated Beatles song in their catalog.. Every Little Thing

Baby’s in Black and I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party are the songs I listen to the most from Beatles For Sale.

At one time, I too overlooked this album, but there’s some gems in there.

Little 2 minute pop nuggets-check

Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry-check

Ringo and George get lead vocals-check

Also didn't realize how much John kinda dominated Paul for all other lead vocals.

Nice post.

I’ve never listened to a bad Beatles song or album. They simply don’t exist

The USA release was Beatles '65.

Timeless.

Every Little Thing is mostly a McCartney song even though John has the lead vocal.

You skipped the best song on the album, I'll Follow The Sun.

John Lennon solo songs =/= Beatles songs

There are a shitload of bad ex-Beatle solo songs.

As far as bad Beatles songs, there’s one actually on Beatles For Sale - but it isn’t really a Beatles song because they didn’t write it: Mr Moonlight

That was the first Beatles album I owned. My aunt gave me her copy.

Yea, John definitely dominated the group through the better part of 67.

Beatles for Sale has always been really underated.

Agreed. But a criminally overlooked album by them doesn't exist either. They're the biggest band in music history.

Everything that they've recorded has been heard billions of times.

I'll see your "All Together Now" and raise with "Honey Pie".

So do you feel the same way about "Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon" by Queen?

Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon: LINK
Honey Pie: LINK

They're both take-offs of 1920's crooners like Rudy Vallee.

If it’s on a Beatles album, I call it a Beatles song

Edit: I’m thinking of revolution 9

I love the Beatles, and I like Ringo, but "Don't Pass Me By" "Octopus' Garden, and yes, "Yellow Submarine", drive me up the freakin' wall.
