Badfinger
They are probably the most cursed band in history -- not just once curse, but a double whammy:

1. They were on Apple records in the middle of the Beatles' endless legal wranglings and got caught up in the chaos.

2. When they finally were able to sign with another label their manager embezzled their advance money and disappeared, effectively stonewalling their ability to record and release music.

In the '80s Badfinger records were virtually impossible to get ahold of (unless you got used copies), as their legal problems prevented reissues. IIRC Badfinger won several polls in Goldmine magazine for "Records We'd Like To See Reissued"

Considering all that, it's not surprising they aren't as famous as they should be.

My God does Sirius/XM love them some Rock Candy, though.

Whatever happened to Dovetail Joint?

Wow, didn’t think I’d ever seen them mentioned on this board.
They’ve got somewhat recent live YouTube videos. So many alternative bands from the mid-late 90s signed with major labels and only put out 1 album before being dropped.

Fantastic band. I got lucky and was in Vancouver when they played there about 15 years ago. Such an amazing show. Unfortunately, Bo Madsen was a huge part of what made them so interesting. They can hire guitarists to recreate his riffs, but the stuff they've written since he left just doesn't have the same unique syncopation that he always brought.

Aurora - unfortunately, the American music consumer is, on average, a character from Idiocracy. Fantastic pop music from Europe is ignored while the likes of Iggy Azalea and Cardi B are swimming in dollars like Scrooge McDuck.

She seems to be getting some press with the new album. She was on The Late Show this week.

Agree on James. I’m a huge fan. Give that whole album a listen. It’s great. All their stuff is. There’s a lot of potential singles. Start w “say something”

I remember seeing this band at one of the off-campus bars around LSU in the early 1980's, perhaps The Bayou.

They'll play almost anywhere and put on a great show every time. I've seen them in stadiums, theaters, on cruise ships, in dive bars, it doesn't matter. One of my favorite of their shows I've been to was at a bar in Virginia Beach with about 100-150 people in attendance. A band called Protein opened and kicked arse.
