Bands that didn't last long enough

I'll say Alice In Chains, Layne era of course. I've seen the new Alice lineup live and was very impressed, but not the same obviously. With only 3 full length albums (I like to say 4 because I consider Sap and JOF to be another), it's a shame they weren't around longer. The Unplugged album is one of the best live albums ever made.
What got me thinking about this was a band called the Union Underground that randomly popped into in head. They made one album and I haven't heard from them since. In no way am I comparing them to AIC but I liked the 1 album they put out.

Love. They'd have been a RRHOF band easily if they hadn't imploded due to dope, incarceration and death. Maybe THE biggest woulda, coulda, shoulda band in rock history.

The Beatles. Lots of albums but pretty darned short-lived in terms of number of years.

DEFINITELY Acid Bath. WAY too short of a run for them.

Came to post essentially the same list. I would add Big Star.
