Your inability to answer that question kangfirms your lack of refined taste in music. Stick to Yellowcard and Rise Against, mon.

In all honesty, it's tough to pick a single show. Some of my favorites over the years were:
Wilco, Johnny Winters, BB King, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, & Earth, Wind, & Fire.

The best set of locals I saw was one with Galactic where Trombone Shorty and Anders Osborn jammed with them. Pretty epic.

I haven't gotten to go the past two years due to work, but I hope to get back to going for a day or two every year next year.

And fyi, the Yellowcard show was fantastic as was Rise Against. I hope you orgasmed during that last noodling fest you went to. I bet that 45 minute improv session of trading solos to "Green Onions" was just LIFE CHANGING!!!

A band I actually like, Radiohead, can at times be difficult to listen to. It takes a lot of concentration and sometimes I'm just not able to. Radiohead isn't running or background music.

I agree with Radiohead. The voice of their lead singer is like nails on a chalk board and their distortion is way too fuzzy.

Got burned out on Van Halen thought it would be temporary but it turned out to be a permanent burnout.

Rush?
Moody Blues
Jethro Tull
Aerosmith ( see VH)
The Police
Genisis. ( except Peter Gabriel solo I like)

For my tastes, it should be RHCP, but I just can't get into them.

I urge you to give Sterelithic a shot.

Granted Transistor is my favorite album, but this album is the best since Transistor(or maybe Soundsystem), but that spans about 5 or 6 albums, so it's their work in at least 15 years.

I don't dislike the Black Keys, but they don't do much for me.

Also, I appreciate jam bands but have a hard time listening to most (I do like some bands that get lumped into the jam band scene though, like Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, etc).

Civil Wars, Alabama Shakes (don't get, along with any band with a marching beat and lots of huhs and hahs, except for Big Love by Fleetwood Mac, of course)

Tonight, I couldn't figure out why the strokes were on the huge headliner stage and the pixies were on the second stage, at shaky knees. i don't get the strokes. they're alright i guess sometimes, but pixies are in a whole other league.

and def that. decent band, but people calling them the greatest current band? no.

and DMB was great on Under the Table and Dreaming. Never got into anything after that, except for a couple outliers.

This is a little different from the criteria in the OP, I don't like Springsteen, but I also don't feel like I should like him. So fricking overrated.
