Interested to see if there are any Death/Tech Death metal fans on here.

Years ago I did. I can still listen to it to this day if I am feeling it. Death, Sabbatic Feast, Suffocation, Immolation, Goatwhore, etc all used to be in my regular rotation.

I'm sorta in a similar situation. Haven't listened in years. Kinda got burnt out.
A new Nile album (Vile Nilotic Rites) dropped last November. I just heard it for the 1st time last night and it kicked my dick in. Made me interested in the genre again.

I'm more of a thrash/groove/doom metal fan. I'll occasionally listen to death metal but it's rare.

Not a huge Nile fan but I will listen to them sometimes. Don't think I've heard the new album yet.

Hell yeah! I’m always in search of something heavier than what I’m currently listening to. One band is just a progression to the next. I am of the belief metal can’t get or be “too” heavy.

Go home dad.

And of course. It's pretty much all I listen to. Sun Eater has been pretty much on repeat for a few months now.

I listened to a lot of Obituary last week, Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death. I pulled out Control Denied a couple of weeks ago.

Love these guys. I knew the guitar players Sean and Josh a little and was sad to see them pass in the last couple years. Reopen the Womb is a great album

I can't do the vocals. The cookie monster thing.

Prime Pantera is the heaviest thing I have personally heard where the lead singer (Phil) is actually a vocalist. I'm willing to be educated though if there are others.

If you want something closer to normal vocals check out Morbid Angel's Covenant and Domination albums. Both super heavy and not really cookie monster type vocals. Also check out Death's Sound of Perseverance album. Its more of high pitched screeching type vocal but still somewhat understandable.

Bryan the drummer was one of my best friends in their heyday. Sean came to my house a few times and jammed when I was first starting guitar and I never forgot that. His passing and Josh's certainly were sad.
