I saw him at the jazz fest in 2006 (I think). It really wasn't a good show at all. All of his songs sounded the same. It was like he played the same tune on his keyboard the entire time.

I was at the UNO concert. After all the stories I heard about the shittiness of his performance I wasnt expecting much but I thought it was awesome.
He did a kickass Ballad of a Thin man. Just dont try to sing along with him.

It makes me sad. I consider his Royal Albert Hall performance to be my favorite live album by far. Why couldn't I have been old enough to see him then?

Mellencamp is ridiculously underrated. It's cool to make fun of him (mainly because of what I think is concerted efforts of Springsteen fans to discredit him), but he is really outstanding.

a few years ago I saw him at an outdoor concert at the Memphis Minor league ball park. Him and Willie. Willie was ok. Bob was dreadful.

I've always wanted to see him, but I'm debating on whether or not to drop $120 on two tickets to see him. Does he still have it at his current age?
I've seen him about 10 times (most inside of 5 rows) and he was amazing every time...but I am a Dylan fan. I think he sounds much better in person than on album.
I saw his tour with Paul Simon in which they played a middle set together from the first row. Them singing "The Boxer" together was fantastic.

Saw him, and The Band, in Atlanta, Feb., 1974. Tickets were $7.50. Got my money's worth.

Overrated as a singer. Probably as a writer too.

Saw him in the Rolling Thunder Review tour in 1976. It was really a very good show. If you can afford it, give it a go.

Saw him at a music festival 7-8 years ago. I'm a huge Dylan fan, and I really couldn't recognize half the songs. Music festivals are a pretty terrible place to get a great live performance, but it was horrible.
Still a huge fan.

from my experience seeing him in the 2000s, if you are familiar with the new stuff you should enjoy it. the voice he has on love and theft, modern times, etc is the one that he sings with now. so those are the songs you wanna hear, not that guy singing blowin in the wind
