Any good metal come out recently (in the last 8 years LOL)

Haven't really kept up with metal for a while but it's one of my favorite genres
I like stuff like old Megadeth, some Maiden, Metallica etc.
Anything out these days that I might enjoy? I understand Megadeth has been consistently cranking out albums for a while but I haven't really bought one since Countdown to Extinction

are you looking for new stuff that sounds like old megadeth, etc?
or are you just looking for new metal in general?
I listen to tons of heavy music be it metal, hardcore, metalcore, etc.
I can recommend plenty based on your preference

If you're stuck in the 80s, Megadeth's album Endgame and Anthrax-Worship Music are both great. As for a more modern thrash sound, check out Revocation and Havok. For some local flavor, Goatwhore have been incorporating some thrash in their last few albums and are sounding awesome.

If you like Anthrax, you absolutely owe it to yourself to buy (please don't be a downloading schmuck) Worship Music. It really may be the best record they've ever put out.
Mastodon's Crack The Skye is also spectacular, but takes quite a few listens to absorb it all and get used to it.

James Labrie (singer from Dream Theater, his solo stuff is amazing)
Shadows Fall
None of this is really all that new, although many do have new albums. Symphony X and Iced Earth have two of the best vocalists around if you're into high notes and power metal style singing.

I just recently got back into Dream Theater. While I like their stuff a fair bit, not sure the progressive metal style is in line with Megadeth, Metallica, and Maiden. That being said, I think it is worth a listen.

Persistence of Time and Sound of the White Noise are 2 of my favorite albums of all time
