I had a dream back in the late 70s.

In my dream, The Beatles had gotten back together. They had ditched their psychodelic gear and were all wearing black slacks and suit jackets, white buttondown shirts and skinny black ties. Musically they were back to basics too - Paul on his Hofner Bass, Ringo on drums, George on electric guitar, and John, his jacket off his tie loosened and his sleeves rolled up, holding only his harmonica.

The crowd goes wild as he steps up to the mic as the band starts to play this.

Guys, allow me to turn this thread into reality. There is a guy on YouTube by the name of Bill McClintock who has turned the mashup into an art form.

Ever wanted to hear what the Temptations would sound like if the rhythm section of Black Sabbath was the backing band? LINK
How about Kiss and George Micheal getting together for a little Love Gun with Megadeth, Slayer and Ritchie Blackmore all contributing as well? He’s got you covered LINK
Ever wondered what a duet with Gloria Gaynor and Ronnie James Dio would sound like? LINK I’m pretty sure Dio hit it and quit it.
Curious what it would sound like if Slayer and Wham got together and formed a gay super group called SLAM!? Got you right here. LINK
How about if David Ruffin of the Temptations joined Deep Purple? LINK Definitely my personal favorite.

Anyway, that’s enough to get you started on your journey of discovering the greatness of Bill McClintock.

Oh hell one more. Imagine if you will The Who, Metallica and Megadeth got together and blew your mind. LINK It’s so good that I don’t even have words to describe it.

McClintock Mashups are great, love his Billy Idol & Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye & Ratt,etc..

Even better than the Marvin Gaye Grapevine & Miguel Adorn mashups out there.

I don't know but I always thought a metal band should cover The Eagle And The Hawk by John Denver.

I feel Like Arcade Fire should cover Sliver by Nirvana

There is a commonality in theme and a juxtaposition of style.

Cake covering Primus' Tommy the Cat. Would love to hear Cake's interpretation of the vocal delivery as well as a non slap bassline thats still funktastic.

The Fine Young Cannibals version of Suspicious Minds might be better than Elvis' version

Really liked Roland Gift's voice
