Nirvana really doesn't belong on that list. They didn't have anywhere near the musicianship

Do you feel candlebox fits a different genre?

I feel like they(along with Slaughter) were the last of the "hair bands" to have success before that genre died a merciful death.

Fortunate to have seen all the Seattle bands except for AIC- was set to see them open for Metallica at Baytown Raceway outside Houston before the '94 Woostock, but they had to cancel due to Layne's sickness (drugs)...

If you're gonna call Candlebox grunge you might as well call Creed grunge as well.

I was at that Metallica show in Baytown in 94. So mad that AIC had to drop off the tour. That was my only chance to see them & didn't get to. I couldn't believe they chose Candlebox to take their place. Suicidal Tendencies & Fight with Rob Halford were also on the bill & were great. Amazing show with the exception of Candlebox.

My favorite things about the 90s IMO, them among others.

Candlebox, from Seattle, album released in 1993.
Creed is post-grunge

WTF?

Candlebox was a Seattle band. Not even an LA hair band like slaughter.

So what? Their sound wasn't grunge, in the slightest. They were as commercial as commercial gets. Pretty shitty band too.
