Kraftwerk is one of NIN's big influences. This is like Nirvana getting in over The Pixies or The Melvins. Mainstream popularity has a lot to do with it.
...and Depeche Mode, and early rap etc. What a joke.

Why dont they just call it the music HOF and be done with the controversy.

When they snubbed Rush for so long I knew the RnR HOF was a joke.

Good to see Skunk make it in; he did great work in early Steely Dan as well.
If they are including rappers, BIG absolutely belongs.

There should be one HOF for talent, and one without.
Keep it simple.

The Rock n’ Roll HOF is the biggest bunch of political kiss arse bullshite I’ve ever seen. When bands like Green Day get in before Mötley Crüe, frick ‘em, I’m out.

The Doobies and T Rex should have been in 15 years ago.
Still waiting for The Guess Who, Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Wings, Gram Parsons and Three Dog Night to be inducted.

Why couldn't they have other hall of fames for other genres of music?

Are Three Dog Night and Grand Funk in?

The hall of fame is a bunch of bullshite. They purposely kept KISS out for years until the backlash got too strong. I know some people only like the original KISS (Paul, Gene, Ace and Peter), but Eric Carr and Singer, plus Bruce Kulick should have went in to. They played on good records.

I just can't believe they continue to leave out Todd Rundgren. His body of work from solo artist to producer is amazing. He checks all the boxes.

The Hall of Shame continues to sink to new lows! There are at least 50 bands from the late 60's to early 70's alone that are more deserving than half of the current inductees. First off, as soon as they started letting in people like Madonna, you know it had nothing, repeat, NOTHING to do with rock or rock & roll. The HOS is a popularity poll and the selectors at the HOS are not in any way tied in with rock music in general. It is all about keeping in touch with the young politically correct crowd who listen to only the most popular music of today. Now Whitney Houston is in?? You can only laugh, but I have long since abandoned any thought of the HOS as being credible or relevant to real artists...

He even checks off the "nutty left wing politics" box for Jann Wenner's approval.
