This happened with my parents' Optimum Cable and Fox the week of the NFL Divisional Playoffs. That Sunday their local Fox channel just had a message saying Fox wouldn't be reasonable so they stopped negotiating. They missed the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers game that weekend. With the NFC Championship game between Philly and Washington coming up on Fox, my dad wanted to watch Jayden Daniels play. I called Direct TV for pricing, signed them up online, and paid to get it. I didn't know if they were going to get the equipment by Sunday, so they overnighted it to me.
That Sunday morning, before I could set everything up, my mom told me Fox was back on the Optimum Cable. They didn't want to change to Direct TV because the internet and phone are with Optimum. I wasted $144.28 for the 1st month of Direct TV, and never unpacked the box with all of their equipment before taking it back to them. That's what I get for trying to help.

A $30 antenna would have worked just fine, and very useful when all of these contract disputes happen. I watched several playoff games with the antenna rather than logging into my YouTubeTV account.

The stations are committing suicide. How long until people just drop TV and pick up the few streaming services they actually use?
If it weren't for football season, I'd never have a live TV service.

Which provider to you recommend?

Sling also doesn't carry CBS and NBC.

Do you have an IPT account? If not email me at my user name @live dot com and I'll hook you up.
They have a great IPTV service that gets you 2 tuners for $10/mo no subscription. Just turns off after 30 days if you don't renew. Great for football season.

you have to have paramount, not paramount plus to watch it right now or buy it. Paramount + doesn't show live shows for a long time.

I just checked my Paramount plus and WAFB is streaming live.

They reached a temporary agreement last night.
However, no one in the press seems to know how long the temporary agreement is for.
March Madness and the Masters would be the huge weeks for CBS.

I understand that, I’m telling you that if you have cable, you can probably watch it on-demand.

I got you now. All I have is a stand alone paramount plus and it is ok but not worth a whole lot.

ironically, Paramount+ doesn't stream stuff until later. I still can't watch the last half of season 5 Yellowstone because it isn't on there yet.
The last half of the season will stream on Peacock not Paramount+. It will be available on March 16th.
