The "Boston" movie fad has seemingly passed now. Coincidentally, so are the city's sports championships now that Brady took his magic to Florida.

Miami has now become the most under-utilized movie city setting.

For sure my favorite is The Departed. It’s one of the last times we got to see Jack Nicholson on the big screen and he shows you why he was such a big name actor. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. Mystic River and The Town are up there too.

I feel like Savannah and/or Charleston would be great movie settings.

I don't believe any of Social Network was shot in Boston ... Mostly in LA and at The Lot in West Hollywood.

The Town had access to the bowels of Fenway. Doesn't get more Boston than that.

Apparently -- Damon is filming in Boston now and has gained access to several institutions in the area that have NEVER been filmed. That's Brady like stroke.

I don’t care where it was filmed, I’m talking where it was set. Over half the movie was at Harvard University.

Hell, “Battle: Los Angeles” was filmed in BR, but it was set in L.A.

My point was the town, black mass and others really feel Boston because they were shot on location often at iconic landmarks

Don't sleep on Stronger ... a grittier take than Patriot's Day.

Also ... Spotlight has been mentioned, but what a great film.
