The last few movies are set so flipping dark that I have to close all of the blinds in my living room to see them properly if viewing during the day.
To be fair, it is mentioned in the books as the world being literally darker after Voldemort reveals himself to the world. Voldemort gets in charge of the Dementors and they themselves are to blame for the darkness and bleakness in the world.

And the mist is their dementor spooge.
Lovely.
Lovely.

Oh I understand why everything got darker but my 10+yr old TV is horrible at showing the different black levels. Interested in watching them again on an OLED set at 8k.

I wonder if Rowling regrets not making Ginny Weasley a more central character given her relevance later.
So Book Spoiler From DH...
I am listening to them again on audio book and finally made it to DH. When at the Burrow for Harry's Birthday... Ginny pulls him into a room to give him a "birthday present". The books says they kissed like they have never before... Ron interrupts.
I will stand on my HP grave to say that Ginny is either about to go down on him and frick him. I don't care if it's a "kids" book. Ginny was about to see Potter's O face.
Edit: To answer Question, any of the movies up to Order... Though Half Blood is my favorite book.

Wasn't there a deleted scene from the "Goblet of Fire" where Snape goes around "interrupting" couples in chariots during the ball?
Found it, if this show is done by HBO they might have to explain how there are no teen pregnancies at Hogwart's.

You always spend a lot of time visualizing fan fiction of underage sex by make believe characters?

I watched Azkaban last ngith because of this thread just to confirm and its still great.
Its the little things that make this one the best.
For instance how great the transition is from the Dementors on the train to that cool choir at Hogwarts. Or the single long shot at the leaky cauldron. Also the castle is great in this one.
Notice when you watch this one how pronounced the wand sounds are and how they sound compared to the other ones.
Easily the best movie.
it doesn't hurt Cuaron is an outstanding director.
Man I wish he would have done Goblet.

I'll have to give it my full attention the next time I run the gauntlet of HP. This was also the first movie with Michael Gambon taking over the role of Dumbledore. I personally liked him more as Dumbledore but I've met fans that preferred Richard Harris.

Because Harris is closer to the depiction of Dumbledore in the books then Gambon. Gambon didn't even read the books.

Well, considering I was underage when I first started reading the books...
But no. The Innuendo is there. Visualizing underage fan fiction would be mentioning that Harry had an invisibility cloak and a map that tells you where everyone is at and spent time on the grounds with Ginny by themselves towards the end of Half Blood....
Is this ackward?

1 chamber of secrets
2 half blood prince
3 Azkaban
Goblet of fire was stupid
Order of the Phoenix felt out of place too
Part one of deathly hallows really dragged on

Team Gambon checking in. He just seemed to have a better rapport with Harry. Harris was great but seemed more formal and aloof.

It would be hard to imagine Harris in all of action scenes for OOTP and HBP.
