What I didnt know about one specific character in this show until just a few days ago, is Teeter. She is the daughter of Michael Landon.

s been mentioned multiple times, but I think the problem with this season was Sheridan getting too distracted by other shows/projects. I just saw an article that says he has SEVEN new shows in the works. All Paramount+ projects.
"1883"
"6666"
"Mayor of Kingstown"
"Bass Reeves"
"Kansas City"
"Land man"
"Lioness"
This was bound to happen. Sheridan is shooting his shot with all the shows. I don't blame him. He is a hot commodity right now. However, I find the writing on 1883, so far, has been really well done.

Nothing would make me happier than if Sheridan plays a cowboy in 1883 with some slow motion riding scenes

Just looked up Land Man, it is what I feared it would be. Going to be cringe to the max.
quote:
You get an inside look at the vast differences between the field landman and the billionaires running the oil and gas company. Wallace walks you through land management, how the boom affected the real estate and the locals, and the legacy left by the oil company following the historic boom. From high school football to a surge in strip clubs and sex work, there is plenty of material for Sheridan to turn the podcast into a captivating TV show that will undoubtedly resonate with Yellowstone fans.
quote:
"The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it's reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics."
quote:
the rise of prostitution in the small town so we assume that will be addressed in addition to the daily lives of rich billionaires and the registered professional landman and roughnecks out on the rigs. This leaves room for a very diverse cast of characters.
"It really focuses on greed," Sheridan explained. "The very best and the very worst of man, of humanity. And that is a story worth telling and worth exploring."
While you're probably right about it being cringe, I'm gonna give this one a try being an O&G guy myself.
What if Beth was the Landman?
Beth: I'm hear to negotiate a deal for the lease of your land.
Landowner: OK I'll be wanting 1/4 mineral royalties and surface and use of easement rights.
Beth: Look you tiny dick fricker. I will give you 1/8 and you'll thank me for it because if you don't I will destroy you and your grandkids will die.

I just finished watching Deadwood after some of y’all had said it’s better than Yellowstone. Trixie > Beth Trixie would easily humble Beth.
Justified is also something of a modern western, set in the south. Also vastly superior to Yellowstone.
Most things are vastly superior to Yellowstone. Yellowstone sucks.

I think Sheridan is really good at "creating" shows. As in he writes the first couple chapters really good & then doesn't know where to go from there. At least that's my opinion after what he's done with yellowstone. Maybe that's the usual when it comes to tv shows.

I don’t understand the hate on here for the show.

There's 68 pages to help explain it to you.
So we have people that hate the show so much that they are making sure to watch every episode just to be sure you are able to bitch properly...Got it.
My wife and I just finished all 4 seasons on a binge-a-thon. It's a lot like Dallas from the the 80's but not as trashy...

I understand some of the criticisms for sure, but overall, the show is still a fun ride. I mean it’s about the cowboy mob, basically. I mean come on.

I thought she did great it’s just that the writing is horrendous.
Just rename the show or do a spin-off with her character named Thundercùnt and it will be more fitting.

A bunch of people take themselves too seriously and think they are professional TV Critics
Is Yellowstone some all time great or classic TV show? Hell no but it is what is which is a modern day Dallas with more killing
Those same people who say how unrealistic shows like this are jack themselves off to shite like star wars or LOR

I enjoy the perspective on this board for the most part but there are a few shows that folks seem adamant to just shite on, incessantly.

Honestly, I determined during the first season that Yellowstone wasn't that great of a show, bordering on cheesy soap opera at times, but I still have watched every episode, because there are elements that I enjoy enough to watch it. Its not really a show that anyone should hyper-analyze.

I agree
When I first started watching, I thought her acting was laughably bad. Just completely unbelievable and her character was just totally over the top.
Now on season 3 and she’s grown on me a bit but she’s still a horrendously bad actress at least for this part.
Btw- she’s British

The show has a ton of holes in it. For instance, why in the hell doesn’t Dutton have camera’s set up all over the place in this day and age and all the border wars he’s fighting?
Despite that and other gaps in the landscape, it’s fun to watch.
