I really hope the show continues mainly just because of how many questions there are with it that id love answers to. The finale was a little disappointing, as I feared, but all in all it was solid though.

Almost positive it was picked up for season 2

I noticed the girl standing over the pit had the Coed naked shirt that red was wearing when attacked by wolves.

The costume designer said in an interview that she purposely swapped clothes around to throw viewers off: LINK

So not sure how much we can read into the outfits they're wearing in certain scenes.

But it's like she didn't want Nat to keep going down that rabbit hole. I don't think any of them trust, or can trust, each other.

She has to put a stop to it. Tugging at that thread leads to Jeff being the blackmailer.

In an interview with Vulture, Showtime president Gary Levine had the following to say about when we should expect season 2 of Yellowjackets:
quote:

We are working towards a premiere at the end of 2022. We’d love to stay on an annual cycle. I think our audiences deserve that, and I also think that when you have a show that has this kind of a momentum, you don’t want to let it dissolve.

I really just wanted more from the finale. I feel like the show has done a good job of creating a ton of questions and not really showing us what exactly is happening (is it supernatural, is there someone else out there etc etc), I would have liked for it to end with a bigger reveal.

The very first scene of the show was so good, I wish we could have gotten a bit more of that in the finale.

I'm still laughing about the dude a few pages back who thought the heart they brought to the altar was Javi's heart

I didn't say I necessarily thought it was Javi's heart, I was more unsure if it was a glob of organs. But upon rewatch it def had to have been the bear heart, or just a bunch of bloody organs. Tai sacrificed the dog's head so im not convinced the "Wood Gods" care. lol

Now we get a long year of more theories.

Just watched the finale last night.

1. Slightly disappointed Jackie went out like that but upon further consideration it made sense as that should be the moment that pushes the group forward into crazy.

2. So there were 6 people in the opening scene. Our 4 “survivors” , Lottie (assumed), and since Van was praying to the dark god with Misty and Lottie I’m going to assume her.

3. Tai is fricked up. She is sacrificing things to the dark god. She was shocked she won the election maybe because she believed the “magic” wouldn’t work away from the woods. Poor pooch. Still confused where her son fits into it. Is he adopted or did Tai or her woman get insiminated?

4. Shauna scares the frick out of me. She’s so damn cold and unfeeling. I’m worried about her daughter. Great character overall.

5. Ricci is killing it. I knew PI chick was a goner and went out in a cool way. Has Misty been killing old people for the dark god? I’m not sure who all still partakes in that stuff except for Tai.

6. I’m guessing Travis tried to leave the cult and they offed him. Question is does Tai know this or not. Is she still in contact with them. Is Misty or Shauna? Nat is the only one I’m confident has nothing to do with it.

7. Where the frick is Javi?

8. Emotional scene with young Nat and Travis was well done. Good acting by both of them.

9. Some Wendigo mythology believes people that resort to cannibalism turn into these creatures.

10. Does Lottie have some sort of power over animals or was the bear sick?

So many questions

I liked this episode, but it didn't make much sense at all. I know we've talked about it before in this thread about how there aren't many episodes left in the season and they haven't yet gone full wild. But man, they went from having a goofy time at the jungle prom to gangbang-ready then to kidnapping murderers in five minutes because.......they ate some shrooms? That doesn't make much sense at all.

I loved this show until this episode, it went off the rails here big time.

I havent seen the finale yet hopefully it gets better.

Not sure who else noticed but the actress playing young Natalie is the biker girl in Boba Fett

Yeah, so many questions. As someone else noted, I think this was always going to be a multiple season show to tell the story, so hopefully the have the whole story already together and film accordingly. That always works out better than writing new seasons to fit the first.

i agree. i was disappointed in the way she died. Shauna probably feels like sh*t especially since Tai told her to go down and bring Jackie back into the cabin. Shauna said no and just went to bed.
Jackie was probably the most vocal remaining survivor who was still anchored into the "realism" of the real world. Now that she is gone, I think it will be a quick descent into savage wilderness life.

yeah, freezing to death was lame. It seems like survival instincts would kick in and she'd walk the 20ft to the cabin door.

and another "person who gets laid dies soon after" moment.

Does Lottie remind you of a younger Odette Annable (Nola)? Saw you post a pic of her in Banshee thread

Didn’t realize the actress playing Lottie was as old as she is. She played a late teens early 20’s slut chick in Mad Max Fury Road.

Damn mind blown. Lottie is 26 no big surprise but the actress playing teen Misty is 27 and when not made up to look like a loser is very attractive.

She had already stopped eating, she was the only person left grounded in reality (not praying to bear/earth spirits), so maybe the fight with Shauna was the final straw and she was like f*ck it, I'm out.
