I kinda thought Shauna, Tai and Natalie were Seniors and that Misty was probably the 8th grade/Freshman Team Manager since (IIRC) she was never actually playing/practicing.
I think you are right. I am gonna rewatch it all in binge form next week when I can before the finale but I think I remember her being like a ball girl or something at practice in episode one. I may be wrong on that though.

Decent episode
Everyone gets fricked up on shrooms
Shauna.. that was a wild first few minutes for her .

Really enjoyed that episode. Shauna killing Adam was quite unexpected, the girls on shrooms were terrifying, and that last scene between Adult Nat and Adult Misty had me LOLing
So presumably Adam was NOT Javi, and at least we got clarification that Jeff wasn't having an affair.

I LOL'd at that too.

So, new theory:
Jeff isn't having an affair. That woman is a reporter and Jeff is thinking about selling his (or Shauna's) story to her because his business is failing and his daughter's college fund is woefully underfunded. The reason he went to meet her after brunch with Jackie's parents is because Shauna rejected their offer to help fund Shauna's daughter's education. So Jeff realizes that now he MUST sell his (or Shauna's) story because the family needs cash. He was also carrying a bag with him when he left...could it contain Shauna's journals that are locked in the safe
Nice! The woman wasn't a reporter, but correct about the affair part.

Yeah the first minute of the episode, I was like holy shite there goes half the theories.
I sort of had a hunch they'd end up getting fricked up on something out there at some point, but wasn't sure but of course it was Misty. Lottie without her meds on shrooms was scary. Poor travis
.
I get the feeling this is the catalyst for the splintering of groups. Although, I feel like Nat isn't going to want Jackie to die for that but I feel like she'll die next episode or something. (Could be wrong on that). IF anyone is still alive running crazy in the woods in my opinion its Lottie.
All in all good episode, but like Sloth, a lot of my theories are turned to shite.
Also, meant to ask if anyone has noticed the quick clip of the man in the intro montage who loos like he's wearing a suit just standing there, staring? Its a real quick cut, I haven't tried to pause it to see but I thought it was odd. Maybe it's the guy with no eyes, but it didn't really look like him from earlier.
ETA: as for the current timeline, Misty's face when told they need to get rid of a body is hilarious. Also, Misty staring in the woods at the craziness when they have the knife and cut Travis loose is also sort of ominous. Love how the poster in Adam's apartment says "Doubt" behind Shauna's back. But it is very apparent that they are still all playing for their own interests. I'm guessing Misty is planning on killing the investigator if she told her about what happened, unless she really is getting manipulated by her into thinking about a book deal, which I don't see Misty falling for, but then again I sort of can as she is so insecure and lonely.

Am I missing something about the journals? Why did the husband take them and then return them? Who did he bring them to?

I'm still going with the theory that he's selling the story to a reporter, so maybe he took the journals to him/her.

The only way this show is interesting is if they're catty and hurt each others feelings on purpose.

You're killing it Sloth. I guess that is the guy with no eyes. Thats what I get for being lazy. I kept noticing it and it was so off-putting.
Also, yeah why did Jeff take the journals that time? Didn't he say he read them years ago later in the episode? Excellent question.

Maybe so a reporter could make copies of them or at least some pages? Or maybe the info is being used by the loan sharks as collateral?
I wonder if the shrooms/booze will cause Teen Shauna to have a miscarriage? Did Teen Jackie and Teen Travis use a condom?
The teen characters HAVE to split into two groups after the insanity at the Doomcoming, right? Like, there's no way Travis and Javi are going to feel safe staying with Lottie and the rest of the crazies (assuming Javi didn't run off into the woods and get eaten by wolves).

My thoughts exactly. The coach is sort of out of commission but he may be the first to go since he can't run, but I feel like Misty isn't going to let that happen, unless him coming out as gay makes her ease up on her obsession with him.
Also, a good question, the coach gave Travis some jimmy's but as he was all fricked up it's unlikely. Jackie didn't eat the stew IIRC so she probably was so confused. Maybe Jackie gets pregnant.
Still not sure if she is actually has some supernatural shite going on or if she's just off her rocker. Either way, the shrooms could only have made her issues 100 times worse. Now we know that Misty knows how to, and has been, collecting them. This could turn into an endless trip session for a long time. At least we know now where the Mamou Mardi Gras costumes come in. I think its Lottie in the initial episode with the antlers and long hair coming out of the dress, which leads to more confusion.

Yeah, she seems to be on some sort of hunger strike

I just rewatched all of the forest scenes in the first episode, and now I'm convinced the girl in the pit is Lottie. Before you hear the animal calls (like the girls made in this episode), you hear whispering, which kinda sounds like they could be voices in Lottie's head?
However, I assume she was the Antler Queen at some point, but then got overthrown?
ETA: Maybe she's wearing Jackie's necklace because Lottie, as the original Antler Queen, had Jackie killed and they ate her?
Also, the cannibal scene in the first episode takes place very close to the plane. So at some point, they decide to go back much closer to the plane. I'm kinda annoyed that aside from the symbols on trees and/or the dead guy in the attic, we still haven't seen any additional clues about whether there's another group/cult out in the woods.

I read something somewhere that predicted Lottie being the one who is killed in the original scene. They mentioned she had a necklace that looked similar to the one Jackie and Shauna have. I haven't started my rewatch for the finale yet, but I can see them not wanting her around, for obvious reasons.
ETA: They'll have to clarify the symbol in the finale, otherwise I don't see the point in having it all for a first season, as they had no idea or not whether it was going to catch on.

Still wondering what the cliffhanger will be
Something happening at the reunion maybe?
Or maybe another survivor we haven’t seen yet showing up. That would be cool too.

There has to be stuff that happened that isn’t in Shauna’s journals. Jeff has obviously read the journals. Would you marry your high school side piece if she was involved in the potential murder and cannibalism of your high school girlfriend in any way?
I supposed he could have just now read them but he doesn’t seem very shocked by their contents at this point.
