I was thinking the other dark haired girl is the hunted one; Lottie seems to be becoming more of an oracle figure

Really into this show

I liked this episode, but it didn't make much sense at all. I know we've talked about it before in this thread about how there aren't many episodes left in the season and they haven't yet gone full wild. But man, they went from having a goofy time at the jungle prom to gangbang-ready then to kidnapping murderers in five minutes because.......they ate some shrooms? That doesn't make much sense at all.

So what was Misty's plan with the shrooms and coach? Did she think shrooming him would make him want to bang her or something? For a split second, I thought coach and Nat may frick and Misty was gonna walk up on them and see it. But that didn't happen.

Also loved how Travis was like "I think I love Natalie." And then when Jackie says "I won't offer this again" he just jumped right in and went for it anyway.

I think several in the thread called Jeff being behind the blackmail and not really cheating. And holy shite, he seemed to take all of that information from Shauna REALLY well (fricking the guy she wrecked into, for example). Although I guess when you get busted for blackmailing your wife, you have to sort of let things slide.

The whole Shauna killing Adam thing was just weird and felt super rushed. Seemed like an odd choice for her to make, killing him in that moment.

In fact, this whole episode felt pretty rushed too. But I guess, like we've said, that's because there isn't much time left to wrap up the season. I have a feeling next week's episode isn't going to answer very many things at all, and there will be cliffhangers and open-ended things all over the place.

I'm digging the show though, and I wish this was one that I was watching once it was over so that I could just power through and watch all of it. Waiting week to week and season to season is gonna suck.

He does seem really calm about it. He said he read the journals years back, so idk why he took them that night. But it's almost like he has other things planned by the way he basically didn't react at all to Shauna's cheating and killing someone.

Loansharks? Could be legit, but if the store was doing bad you'd think the wife would know and it's not like the 1960s with loansharks on every corner (granted they are in NJ lol). Idk I think he still has something up his sleeve or is being dishonest still. (not an affair though).

Yeah, he definitely seemed to be hiding something. Or at least holding back on information and waiting to see what Shauna said. And once she confessed to the affair, he sort of latched onto that and stopped giving his information away. But not reacting much at all (outside of the book club comment, which ALMOST felt tongue-in-cheek) to your wife not only cheating on you, but also murdering someone, seems very suspect.

It also doesn't make much sense that he'd try to basically only blackmail Taissa. Maybe Shauna is great at hiding the fact that she still talks to the girls somewhat regularly, and we already know Jeff isn't terribly sharp on picking up on clues. But still, it seems like you'd have to assume that blackmailing any survivors from the girl group would lead to them getting together or working together since their story/bond is so strong. So for Jeff to be like "You weren't supposed to be involved...it was just supposed to be Taissa" is pretty short-sided.

This might just be me overthinking - but if Adam is Javi, did he just become.. non-hispanic?

The actor is, oddly enough, a British-born half Mexican.

Maybe there is something more there, and there is definitely the dangling issue of what he did with the journals, but I think all that stuff between Shauna and Jeff just showed the shitty people they truly are (and always have been), and how perfect for each other they are.

Truly, Jeff loves Shauna and is solid for her, he’s a trooper. Ha.

I guess it’s still possible, like I said earlier, that he has something planned for the journals at the forthcoming reunion. But how would that be of financial benefit to him?

And, for the folks complaining about the adult actress’ ages, the only one that’s inappropriate for having been in high school in 1995 is Lewis.

Travis went from having a really good but fricked up time, to having a really bad time really quickly. Looks like it’s become more apparent that they’re setting up Lottie to be the spiritual leader.

Perhaps the “hunts” end up being a monthly Doomcoming ritual with the full moon, although there really aren’t a lot of survivors to begin with to make that work. Would just end up with like four girls having eaten everyone else in the 19 months, which doesn’t make for a very cohesive group, but we have been led to believe there are other survivors as adults.

I thought Jackie’s devolution to Nihilism before seducing Travis was interesting, and then Lottie told her “you don’t matter anymore” before locking her up.

Adult Misty is still fun to watch. Not sure who is manipulating who in the kidnapping scenario. Is Misty succumbing to what’s-her-name’s “seduction” efforts or is it all a facade to find out what what’s-her-name knows? Why hasn’t Misty confronted Tai or brought it up to anyone else that what’s-her-name was hired by Tai?

You knew when they were all like "That's so Jackie" or whatever that something bad was in store for Jackie.

And man, Van healed miraculously for someone who was viciously attacked by wolves and almost burned alive and received basically no professional medical help.

Seems like that HAS to be Misty playing around with her hostage. I'd find it hard to believe that she wouldn't stay on top of that situation considering what is at stake for her. I'm sure she will get careless at some point, but she doesn't seem like someone who would fall for some bullshite sweet talking, at least so far.

I mean, yeah, she likely would have died of an infection, as should have the coach, but they made it pretty clear that it had been weeks since the attack had happened. (If that’s what you’re getting at.)

I don’t know. She’s vengeful and really just wants to be loved. The girls keep hurting her feelings. She may crack.

yes. just about her entire cheek was ripped off. but somehow they were able to just stich the cheek back together and it just left a scar. Seems like half of her cheek was in a wolf's stomach.

Idk I thought the book club part was funny, but it almost was like he was being sarcastic. I get vibes from him that he picks up on a lot but acts dumb. But yeah, there aren't a whole lot of survivors left.

The "you don't matter anymore" was ominous. Did she mean that in a "we're not in high school and you aren't the star soccer girl" or like the devil thing possessing her used her for a purpose and was done with her?

Hmm. That’s an intriguing take on that. Lottie shepherding her flock.

Was it confirmed that the child she is carrying as a teen makes it? Some assumed it was her daughter, but she is way too young.

She was about the best thing about “Gods of Egypt.” She was also one of the wives in “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

It sure as frick isn't her personality. She seems like such a miserable human being as an adult.

ETA: I hate that there is only one episode left and things are finally getting interesting. For example, Jackie said she knows Shauna and Jeff were cheating behind her back. I wonder how she knew that, and I wonder if she suspects that the baby is Jeff's?

Did you miss the part where she took Shauna’s journal and was reading it while crying?

Why the frick do people write things like this in journals? I've never understood why writing it down makes it better or helps anything.

Just think how many people have been caught or busted over journals.
