Finally got around to watching the episode.

I had this feeling for a while with the look he gave her while telling about the lady.

Maybe that was jackie with plastic surgery and they have no clue.

Obviously, but that is obviously integral to the show that they are "talented/athletic" enough to survive out in the woods, which has nothing to do with soccer.

@Sloth are you completely sold that the husband is cheating? Probably, it just seems way too straight forward, but I guess not everything is a mystery or plot twist.

F*ck, I was so busy doing mental gymnastics to keep Jackie alive that I just Occam's Razor'd the "affair."

Okay, if there's anything this show thrives on, it's misdirection.

So, new theory:
Jeff isn't having an affair. That woman is a reporter and Jeff is thinking about selling his (or Shauna's) story to her because his business is failing and his daughter's college fund is woefully underfunded. The reason he went to meet her after brunch with Jackie's parents is because Shauna rejected their offer to help fund Shauna's daughter's education. So Jeff realizes that now he MUST sell his (or Shauna's) story because the family needs cash. He was also carrying a bag with him when he left...could it contain Shauna's journals that are locked in the safe

This is an excellent - very entertaining watch thus far - just two episodes in - not crazy about the cannibalism and witchcraft that is inferred at this point but definitely an easy thought provoking watch

True that. But I like Sloth's theory, that seems plausible. The car ride home after going to Jackie's parents made me think he was remorseful about doing something but not in the cheating way (which is was Shauna and likely the viewer were thinking). I agree on the misdirection part.

New theory… Jeff is blackmailing the girls. Probably trying to negotiate a new business deal with the girl Shauna thinks he’s cheating on her with. Jeff assumes Tai would give the money.

I mean it’s pretty convenient he leaves to go to work late at night around the same time the 3 get the drop off text.

Shauna pulls the van up just after he gets away in the car, so she never saw what type of car it is. Not to mention the bag has his initials on it, almost like foreshadowing.

If Shauna finds glitter all over the house then we know for sure.

ETA: Guess it could be Adam also. Hell it would surprise me if Adam and Jeff are working together, and Adam is an older Javi. He’s an artist and Javi crafted that little wolf for Shauna in the woods

This was a good episode. Slow at times, but a lot of subtle parts I think will be important later. I'm gonna rewatch it, or likely all of it so far, here soon to try to see if I have missed anything (which I undoubtedly have). The young side piece stuck in the closet.

When Shauna told Jackie the baby daddy was that other guy (forgot the name already as I knew it wasn't Jeff and it was a lie- It was Randy, assumedly the guy from the hotel), is that the chubby guy Natalie runs into at the hotel/apartments place getting ice? Or was that some random guy from school she made up? That threw me off and I need to go back and definitely figure out the characters better.

I like the theory that Jeff is either involved in the blackmail or meeting a woman to try to sell the story. Just when I think Misty can't out crazy herself she delivers.

They better explain the tree shite with Taissa. She’s got some superpowers or something

She’s pretty funny at this point.

Kind of surprised they killed off Van so soon. I thought she was one of the better actresses for the young group. Especially considering that party consisted of two people we know make it to adulthood, Van (lots of screen time), and two nearly complete unknowns of the group.

But I guess we now know why Tai sees a wolf. Curious to see where the tree climbing and whatnot goes with her.

More overlapping stuff with Javi carving a wooden wolf, which was pretty amazing work considering the huge hunting knife.


So…the blackmailer is going to be strongly hinted to be Jeff and/or Adam. Adam is definitely a shady character at this point. Let’s not forget he runs a body shop, so he could have used anyone’s car in the shop. Did it look like there was facial hair poking out the ski mask as he drove off?

If Adam turns out to be Javi, I’d think that’s a dumb twist.
