The SR-71 was a special design by Beast which has always had vertical takeoff.

He seemed perfect for both roles. Good Actor.

Never thought I'd say this, but I thought Kevin Bacon did a good job as well. Spoke three different languages with a decent native accent, and I didn't think, "Hollow Man was fricking terrible" once.

This isn't a knock on you because my brother said the exact same thing, but how does a plane hovering put the movie over the top that has blue, red, and diamond skinned people who can read minds, move metal, and shoot fire balls while flying as the plot?

Christ in a rowboat, dude.

It's a fricking action hero movie.

Lighten up.

It was good, well written and well acted.

I disagree. I thought it was a very realistic movie.

Probably the only problem I had with this movie was Magneto as a child going "rawrrrrrrrrrr" for 5 minutes after they shoot his mom. I wanted to laugh.

Easily one of my least favorite moments of the film. He looked ridiculous screaming there in that posture. That and the teenage mutants dancing scene both made me cringe.

Everything going on in this movie, and THAT's when it was too over the top?

I would marry Mystique.

The thing i like about X-men series in general is that although Magneto and his gang are villians, you can understand where he is coming from and can sympathize with his cause. That's what makes him such a good character.

I actually really enjoyed it. I thought the character development was pretty great and I thought that Prof X and Magneto's relationship was pretty interesting. It was the Dark Knight, as I've heard from some critics, but it was pretty good.

I thought it was ridiculous when the sub crashed and Shaw is still in that room absorbing energy unfazed. Also Mystique and Magneto making out was very odd IMO. Other than that I really loved the film.

Well, that's any villain. A good villain should think he's the hero. Even Shaw, to use an extreme example, views himself as the hero.

Magneto is the greatest comic book villain ever, except maybe Doctor Doom.

Azazel is Nightcrawler's father.

Havoc is Cyclops' brother.

Havoc is Cyclops' brother. Azazel is after my time as a reader, but I think they introduced him with being Nightcrawler's dad in mind.

FWIW Mystique is Nightcrawlers mother.

I watched First Class yesterday, and loved it; Magneto and Kevin Bacon were awesome in it!

I'm a big X-Men fan, and I really enjoyed it. I love when they show mutants learning to control their powers.
