Michael Showalter was in Signs (watched it tonight before the basketball game). He was a the guy signing up for the military who explained why Merril wasn't playing baseball in the pros.
I've seen this movie at least 4 times, and am really familiar with Michael Showalter's work, but never realized that was him!
