Not exactly the purpose of the thread but Rashida Jones was in the 1st season of Chappelle's Show. Had no idea until replays were on CC today.

So I've been watching The Terror and got around to looking up some of the actors b/c of how well it's done and I was stunned to learn that all around badass Thomas Blanky is Ian Hart who also played the milquetoast Professor Quirrell in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The guy that played Dan Dority (W. Earl Brown) in Deadwood was Mary's brother in There's Something About Mary.

The killer that was revealed by Elle Woods' examination in the courtroom in Legally Blonde was played by Linda Cardellini.

The nuclear physicist in Chernobyl is the same girl who fondled tiger balls in Red Dragon.

Watching "Platoon" and just recognized a young Duck Motherfricking Phillips.

His face caught my attention as soon as I saw it, but I knew who he was as soon as he started talking. Wish Peggy Olson was there with him.

I just realized that porn queen Nina Hartley played William H. Macy's wife in Boogie Nights. She looks a lot different in real movie lighting, makeup, and on film.

She may have looked a little better but there was no mistaking who she was.

Looks like we've been rolling on for a decade now. And yet, the thread is still barely over 100 pages.

Anyway, Dune came on the other day. I never knew that the creepy little witch girl--

is Alicia Witt, from Cybill, law and Order and recently, the Walking Dead.

>
>

Dune is actually a pretty good source for this thread. It also features Richard Jordan...

>

who went on to steal babies' lollipops in The HUnt for Red October.

>

Interesting fact, Richard Jordan is the grandson of famous lawyer Learned Hand and his stepfather was a major part of the LaGuardia admin. in NYC.

Mamoa will be playing the Duncan Idaho role this time around. In a way, both actors are perfectly cast. Idaho is a charming swashbuckler sort of a teacher. I was sad to see Jordan pass so young, and that we didn't get a sequel featuring Idaho's return.

speaking of there's something about mary, I didn't realize until watching the movie a few months ago that the old tanned leathery woman was the same woman who was the landlord in Kingpin.

my mind was blown because of how different, yet equally disgusting, she looked in each role (and the movies were pretty close together in terms of release date)
