Would you rather see Mask of the Phantasm or Transformers the movie in theater?

Looks like Batman 89, Mask of the Phantasm and Transformers the movie are going to be playing at AMC in 2 weeks.
I'm taking the missus so we're definitely seeing '89, but would Phantasm or Transformers be better to bring her to for the second movie? I doubt I can get away with 3 movies let alone 2 animated.
I also haven't ever seen either Phantasm or Transformers somehow

I read this as the movie Phantasm from 79.
So that’s my choice. Great score. And that spiked chrome ball thing that slices people up.

Not sure when the last time you watched Phantasm was, but watch it today; it's fricking bad bad.
And I remember being terrified of the flying orb as a kid, but I rewatched it a couple of years ago and the orb is only in like two scenes of the movie and is onscreen for maybe like 30 seconds or a minute total. I was shocked when I rewatched it at just how little it is in the movie.
As for the OP, I think I would choose Batman first, and then Transformers. I've never even heard of the other one.

Transformers because it was always intended to be on the big screen.
The animation bump on Phantasm was not particularly great from BTAS because it was intended as a straight to video feature.

I bought the Blu-ray box set of BTAS and it came with a bonus disc.with that and a Mr. Freeze movie (Sub Zero)

Mask of the Phantasm is, arguably, one of the best Batman movies period.

Considering the recent death of Peter Cullen and the timing of the 40th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie, I don’t see how you don’t go with that. Optimus was resurrected, and the death may not hit as hard as it did before. It was downright horrific when we were all subjected to it originally. There is a reason why this release is be called the apology tour.

Your wife would watch two feature length Animated movies from the 80's/early 90s?
At first I thought you were talking about the Michael Bay Transformers with Megan Fox, and Phantasm with the shiny ball. But the animated ones? There's zero chance my old lady would sit through either of those. Not even on our couch.

Oh yeah, she’s a good sport about going to see stuff I’m excited about. I think I’ll just ask her to Transformers though because two animated movies in one weekend, plus Batman 89, would be a lot
she’s also still in her mid-20’s so maybe that makes her more open to some of it. Plus I went with her to things like the new Moana or Minions so she owes me one

I saw Mask of the Phantasm in the theater when it came out. Transformers is the better movie and more cinematic
