No, and completely ignorant. Up until Casino Royale, OHMSS was the closest the movies ever came to Ian Fleming's novels.

George Lazenby was following Connery, and no one could have done that without the scrutiny he received. But he wasn't horrible in the role. He was just too much of an egomaniac.

Worst goes to Moonraker or For Your Eyes Only based on Bill Conti's disco score alone. The series was soooo camped up with Roger Moore after Live and Let Die that it's amazing in some respects that the producers ever got it back on track.

Die Another Day had one of the best openings with Bond being taken prisoner for a year and then they totally botched it with invisible cars and surfing glaciers...Oh, and Madonna. So that's a candidate too.

A useless fun fact: The image of the actor currently playing James Bond wearing a Tuxedo is trademarked. Should the actor appear in another movie, he cant wear a tux with bowtie.

Case in point: Brosnan in Thomas Crown Affair, during the scene where Rene Russo shows up in the see thru dress. Tux, no tie.

I would have to go with DAD. It is a steaming pile of shite, and rips off a central plot element of Diamonds are Forever.

I'm usually lead the "Roger Moore Sucks" Brigade, but give it to DAD. Moore is not far above though, and he did cause the downfall of the character for years.

(People don't realize that Dalton was bringing back Bond but Moore had already tainted their expectations for frivolity, camp and fun.)

I agree. The Spy Who Loved me and FYEO are top 5 for me.

Diamonds Are Forever is the worst Bond film imo. Horrible villian, horrible Bond girl, horrible ending. Sean Connery clearly only came back for the money, and as a result he did not put any effort into this film.

it's between diamonds are forever and a view to a kill. since i'm more a connery fan i'll go with a view to a kill being the worst.

still can't get over mr. kidd and mr. wint though.

Good points all MTT.
But being that moonraker was not a Bond flick but poorly done british vaudville it ranks #1 for me. Lots of good contendors for #2 though.

Die Another Day and Moonraker are the worst.

Especially this Moonraker classic

All of the Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton releases aside from Goldeneye.

Die Another Day takes the cake as the absolute worst.

the bad thing for me is that growing up in the 80's, roger moore was james bond for me until i watched the other films. yet a view to a kill, for your eyes..., & octopussy, were the first 3 i saw. so they have sentimental value.

i'll put die another day at the top for me, and i agree with people who said moonraker. but i haven't seen quantum of solace and i know that gets no love too.

i'm also not a fan of diamonds are forever and the world is not enough.

all the films are entertaining to me, but when you compare them some don't measure up.

Lump in all the Roger Moore 007s together and that's it for me. I just never liked him in that role.

I think I just grew out of the 007 Bond phase after Roger Moore. Plus there are better action-suspense-espionagy movies today.

The Borne series is better IMO and the Mission Impossibles were better too.

Die Another Day b/c they used a huge chunk of it to introduce the Halle Berry character for a spin off series and the invisible car shite was lame as hell.
