Aha! Thanks for shedding some light on the Zimbabwe thing.

On the other hand...

Cheadle's a hell of an actor, but he's perfectly Van Dyke in Oceans.

Cheadle does nothing for me.
His British accent is Dick Van Dyke bad.
He's going to screw up the Iron Man franchise.

1)Patrick Swayze in North and South

Funny you should mention North and South -- it reminded me of the actor who played the villain in that. I think his name was Phillip Casnoff. He did one of the worst Suhthuhn ack-sents I've ever heard. Definitely bottom five -- maybe the worst ever.

Also, Leo in Blood Diamond was bad

You shitting me? Leo's accent received particular praise.

If you want to call out Leo in this thread, his accent in the Body of Lies trailer sounded ridiculous. I wonder if it's like that the whole movie.

Dennis Quaid in the Big Easy. But then Hollywood seems to think everyone in Louisiana talks as if they just departed a shrimp boat.

No offense intended towards shrimpers or anyone with a Cajun accent. The point is Hollywood blows when depicting Louisianians.

Didnt mean to say Cheadle was the worst, just that in some scenes in the 3rd, he kinda forgot he was supposed to be from the East End and sounds completely American

Most of the cajun accents are horrible, such as Quaid in The Big Easy and Costner in JFK.

The best Cajun accents have to be
Michael Jeter in Green Mile
Sean Penn in Dead Man Walking

Kenneth Branagh in Wild Wild West.

He sounded like Mel Blanc as a plantation owner in the old Warner Brother cartoons.

Nah y'all come over hee-yah nah!

Charlize Theron had an awful southern accent in Legend of Bagger Vance.
I thought she pretty much nailed the depression era GA aristocrat. It totally gave me a chubby.
