I'm not one to subscribe to conspiracy things like that, but point me to an analogue of the club scene/street walk culminating with a cheesy and random freeze frame in his past work.
He did differently in that movie, and there was a lot of acrimony between him and the studio during production.

Singer did more long term damage than Raimi - more total crap
Raimi highest mound of crap is higher than Singer's highest mound of crap - Spider-Man 3

Singer
Made mystique look absolutely horrible and unrealistic looking spiked like a reptile and practically naked and her hair like she just came out of the hood.
He ruined Cyclops and botched Pheonix somewhat.

Raimi
He really shite the bed with Spider Man 3 after an awesome movie in the 2nd movie. Unforgivable.

Also...don't hate on Batman Forever. It wasn't the greatest Batman movie ever made but I thought it better than Batman Returns.
Batman & Robin had less to do with Schumacher and more to do with the studio. No one onset took the movie seriously and, just before they started rolling, Schumacher would often quip sarcastically, "Don't forget. We're making a cartoon."

The stuff DCAU is putting out right now shits all over his idea of a cartoon.

It is well known that Raimi got pissed on by the studio on SM3 and said frick it. His people were saying this while it was being made.

quote:spider man 2 also had the "rain drops keep falling on my head" montage. That was frickn terrible. Sp2 and 3 sucked. 3 was worse though.
Spider-Man 3 needed more dancing
Neither of the xmen movies singer did were good. Since I grew up on xmen, I'm going to go with Singer as the worse.
But seriously frick this scene

I don't blame Raimi for Spider-Man 3.

Iron Man 3 is misguided shite, but Spider-Man 3 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. However, I lay more of the blame at Sony's feet, not Raimi's.
Yeah, Spider-Man 3 may be the most poorly produced film I've ever seen. I honestly think that after the parameters that the studio forced on him, he made the movie as bad as he could possibly get away with as a frick you to the studio.

Singer's done some great work, including the first two X-Men movies. X3 and Superman Returns were both massive piles of shite though.
He didn't do X3... Is that why so many people are blasting him? They think he made it?

I'm thinking a few here are lumping X3 in with Singers work. That was Ratner people. Singer didn't like X3 either.
Personally, I didn't like Xmen or X2 very much. First Class made them look even worse. Superman Returns was average at best. Casting and storyline hurt him on that one.
Raimi did a great job on Spiderman 1 & 2, and while he did shite the bed on part 3, I would say his overall score comes out better than Singers.
Singer has two huge chances to redeem himself with Days of Future Past and Apocalypse though.

I actually enjoyed X2. As good as you can make a comic book movie.

Spider-Man 1 and 2 are both good
