Wire question: Why did Chris and Snoop waste time moving bodies to the vacants?

This is an extra step that just allows for more of a chance for you to get caught. Random traffic stop and you get pulled over and they notice a body in back.

Random gangland murder with body in street seems like it is unlikely to figure out who done it since nobody saw nuthin.

No bodies turning up on the street, no police heat.

Nobody is filing missing persons reports on people involved in the drug game, they know doing so calls attention to themselves and could implicate. People disappear, everyone knows what happened. Don’t know exactly how, but they know. But bodies in the streets, those cases still get worked. Pile up enough of them, sooner or later Marlo and his crew would get made.

That’s also why they tried to kill people in the vacants, no need to move the body. Then they cover them with lime and let them decompose.

They were putting away enough bodies it would’ve raised enough of a flag that you likely end up with more than Baltimore PD in there.

Didn’t they mostly kill them in the vacants than move a body.

I wish there had more Chris and Snoop. For some reason I like when they were in scenes. Probably bc it meant McNulty wasn’t. He was insufferable, especially towards the end.

Everyone above is right. To keep the heat off.

I loved that scene when Snoop bought a nail gun. I kept thinking what in the hell is she going to do with this thing?

Big joints, man, just break your bones, you say, "frick it." I'm gonna go with this right here, man. How much do I owe you?

Hardware Store Employee : Six-sixty-nine plus tax.

[Snoop counts out a stack of cash]

Hardware Store Employee : No, no, you just pay at the register.

Felicia 'Snoop' Pearson : Nah, man, you go ahead and handle that for me, man. And keep the rest for your time.

Hardware Store Employee : This is $800.

Felicia 'Snoop' Pearson : So what, man? You earned that buck like a motherfricker, man. Keep that shite.

Snoop was a real life street gangsta IIRC.

They specifically showed them killing the people in the vacants. Remember how Snoop would pull the plastic over them and then shoot them to keep the blood spatter down?

They would usually get someone to lure them to them like at that playground and by then the victim knew they were about to “disappear”. Finding the bodies many months later in a vacant would definitely be harder to solve.

Attracts a lot more police presence.

Poor Randy. Things didn’t really go well for him.

He was doomed from the start by his father.

They brought them to the vacant for the most part. Like when Chris beats Micahel's step dad to death and snoop said something about not even waiting until they got him in the house. Marlo was about sending messages just as much as he was about getting it done. Like when they are tasked with running off New York people and Prop Joe has to explicitly ask him to start leaving the bodies in the street so people know. I think Marlo didn't want any chances of police heat, which was why he was able to elude capture for so long. imo atleast.
