A rich kid not having to earn what they receive in life ain't rare.

To me it's more so that he is talking out of his arse. Hence his using the word physicist when it doesn't really fit because he thinks that using that word to describe himself makes him more intelligent. I would say that he is weird in that he is delusional and crazy. He simply isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. As big of a star as he is, he still has delusions of grandeur that are impossible for him to meet.

From the written review:
quote:
Will Smith’s Son, who I will henceforth refer to as Will Smith’s Son, stars as Will Smith’s Son
quote:
But try as he might, Will Smith’s Son is just not a talented enough ranger candidate. So Will Smith throws his clout around to get him aboard his ship, so that he may learn from his example and carry the baton.

I'm getting really sick of him pushing his talentless kids on America.

I'm literally watching the demise of Will Smith right now pushing the worst actor in Hollywood.
Why is he doing this to himself?
Man, Hollywood people can be strange and often have inexplicable behavior like this.

While it's clearly a horrible idea, some of you still should see it from a parent's perspective.
He's just trying to help his son get his foot in the door. frick, some of you are so damn negative.

Its not that he's helping is son, but he's doing it without considering what the public (the people who made him rich) wants. If this was about small roles to get him started, cool, but after that he needs to let the wind take him where it takes him, and its not like he needs money. Let his son create his own identity from his own acting/music career instead of piggy backing off his father's accomplishments.
I would think with all their "wisdom" they would understand that a truly talented individual will rise no matter who he is related to. I don't want other actors to start doing the same things, because then it would get really annoying.
It reminds me of parents who think just because they were great athletes, or whatever you want to call it, that their kids automatically should be too.
What was that story about the father suing a school for millions of dollars just because his son was kicked off the track team?!?!
Thats what this spawns. Help your kid, sure, but this is babying him to big roles. Many actors have slaved for years in lesser roles and earned their way up.

I still don't get why that affects you (or anyone else for that matter). If you don't want to see their movie, don't see it. It really and truly is that simple.
And there have been numerous actors who have gotten easy access to the business because of their parents. No one shits on them.

He should instead be like most Hollywood parents and keep their kids as far as possible from the limelight. Will Smith should know how much the system fricks with kids.

He's Will fricking Smith. Wait until his kids have an education. It's not going to hurt (and way more likely help) waiting a few years. He's doing the kid a disservice if he wants his kid to get a foot in the door.

Exactly! I hate it when celebrities don't ask me what I think about how they are raising their children.

After the way their movie did this weekend, this may not be an issue.

Will Smith has lost whatever remaining credibility that he had as an actor. So sick of seeing his son and his daughter make fools of themselves/be forced in the music and movie industries.
Thank you. I'm so sick of The Lucky Sperm Club. Let's get back to a meritocracy or Scientology membership or back room reach-arounds like the good old days.
