Well, his parents already do. Here's Howard Stern going on a rant on how insane and egotistical the Smiths actually are: "2+2=4 only if I want it to be"

Honestly, he's only doing a disservice to his son. Shoving someone who is not ready to be a major actor into our faces is a way to piss off audiences. The same thing happened with Kristen Stewart. She just wasn't and isn't ready to be a lead in a movie. Jaden isn't either. That's fine. He's 14 years old. He needs to struggle for a while.

Will & Jaden interview
going to leave this here but it's worth a read. Absolute fricking weirdos
Honestly, I don't think what they had to say in the interview is that weird. I think it's a bit hilarious that Will Smith considers himself a "physicist," but that's because he doesn't understand that he's actually more of a philosopher or theologian with respect to his attempt to find patterns in life. There are physicists and scientists who study nothing but patterns in an attempt to explain the world, the way it works, and why it works that way.
If you think it's strange to try to find patterns in life, to wonder if there is a mathematical equation to everything, then I highly recommend you stay away from theoretical physicists, mathematicians, and films like Pi. You will just think they're weird.

This review of After Earth was spot on.
He ripped everyone involved to shreds, including the Smiths

Will is going to force Jaden down our throats for the next decade.

I wouldn't even say that. He's never going to struggle per say. I think he just needs to be a fricking 14 year old

To me it's more so that he is talking out of his arse. Hence his using the word physicist when it doesn't really fit because he thinks that using that word to describe himself makes him more intelligent. I would say that he is weird in that he is delusional and crazy. He simply isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is. As big of a star as he is, he still has delusions of grandeur that are impossible for him to meet.

Well said. I can agree with that.

This. If people reject him as an actor then he's got a fallback, doing nothing and still being rich the rest of his life.

Wow they're fricked up. I don't pay much attention to celebrities so I never knew they were this bad. I've heard shite but just blew it off as if it were just rumors.... But DAYUM

At least he speaks well and taught his son to do so as well.
A lot of under-educated people I've met who fancy themselves philosophers and scientists can't speak well at all.

Listen to OML's link. You're focusing on the pattern thing. Sure that's a common thing to do. The issue is, Will Smith talks about it authoritatively, but it's nothing new. And yes he's talking out of his arse, that's why everyone is harping on that interview.

There's more to being intelligent than just speaking well.
Lots of unintelligent people don't speak well. We call that.... Acting.
Nah, I'm not doubting his intelligence. He's just fricking crazy.

That's why I qualified it with "with respect to his attempts to find patterns in life."

Not at all what I mean. I don't mean to struggle with making ends meet. I mean to struggle finding who he is and what he wants so that he can earn what he receives, rather than simply being given it.

That's everyone in Hollywood you just described. You think Brad and Angie earned what they have now?? Or even Tom Cruise. All those people have been in the system for years and look out for one another. They earn shite, just pass it down. Tom Cruise could take off for 5 years. And have 200 scripts waiting for him when he comes back. Smith is doing nothing different from all the rest in Hollywood. They all pass it down to family to keep it in the family whether siblings have talent or not. So why not Smith?

Will is headed to NOLA soon for a Warner Bros. show and I assure you his son is not in this one.

Dude, they're actors. They're paid to speak well. Plus he's tried a music career. No doubt Will Smith has gotten his kids plenty of voice coaching.
That doesn't mean they're well educated though. Child actors are notoriously undereducated and often fail to acclimate to a non-acting life due to the lack of a good education. Will Smith finances Scientology schools, and these scientology schools are merely glorified brainwashing centers. If his kids were educated in the same manor that Tom Cruise's kids were (Katie Holmes sure as frick didn't want Suri in that school system), then that's not saying much.

Cruise was never close to being this demanding of his kids in following in his footsteps.
