I'm sure it must be. I've seen it about ten times myself... it's pretty entertaining.

It's a cute little movie that I don't mind catching on tv. I don't think it's anything more than that.

I liked it. Had a thing for Miss Goldie as a youngster.

It's not a belly laugh, guffaw type of movie.

Because I've only ever found it to be good for a couple chuckles here and there.

It doesn't hold up - if you didn't see it in the 80s or early 90s very few would like it, IMO.

Good question. I love me some overboard. As a kid I remember it being my moms favorite comedy, so I watched it a number of times growing up and I still love it and will catch it on tv from time to time.

Annie: I don't belong here, I feel it, don't you think I feel it. I can't do any of these vile things and I wouldn't WANT to. Oh, my life is like death. My children are the spawn of hell, and you're the devil. Oh God.

Dean Proffitt: But baby, we LIKE you.

It's a decent enough movie that has some laughs, but yeah... is it creepy when you think about it for more than 15 seconds. Kurt Russell pulls it off because he's Kurt Russell, but it does spoil the old rewatchability.

Does anyone else find it extra creepy that this movie was mentioned on the heels of the Ohio captive story?

I didn't make the connection. Funny coincidence. It really makes you think about just how fricked up the premise of Overboard really is.
