I don’t think this Is the case but I almost get vibes that Jamie isn’t actually John’s son, whether by adoption or other possibilities....

I think it's just over a general lack of loyalty. He turned on the family once, he's dead to her sort of deal.

This payoff is going to have to be huge the way it's been built up.
The only thing that woluld even half way makes sense is Jamie advised an abortion at some point that caused her to be barren.
The way she was looking at Rip with the kid made me think of that.

That is the most recent thing. Prior to this her hatred was pronounced. I think it may have something to do with a flashback scene wherein John sends Jamie to Harvard despite Jamie not applying.
You only hate that much someone you really loved or he's a proxy.

I absolutely hate her character. "this place is a prison, this place isn't home." Shut the frick up.. Its a billion acre ranch with a nice house you get to live in for free.. OH THE HORROR! Her character is the most annoying and infuriating thing about the show and they keep giving her 30% of the runtime

yeah, I gotta tell ya, if I'm minding my own business, shoveling shite and my loud mouthed bitch sister comes in and starts talking to me like that...shes getting a boot to the head. Or a shovel to the face. wont matter, cause shes already wrecked.
She better have had an abortion or been molested by Jamie when they were young. Some horrible traumatic event to justify her hatred for her brother. Otherwise, she deserves another beating.

I can’t imagine why she hates him so much. If there was some big dark family secret they would have alluded to it by now. I just think she’s a huge bitch. Hell she doesn’t like Kayce either. Don’t remember her exact words but she told Rip that she wished that he had beaten Kayce so bad that he’d leave the ranch and never come back.

they touch on it early in season 1. She got too drunk to drive, Jamie went and picked her up, just them two in the car driving back to the ranch. They talked about how she need someone to hate other than herself..can't remember the whole conversation

Jamie is Fredo. Haven’t you watched it read The Godfather? He pitied himself and despised having to sacrifice his own personal ambitions for the family. This lead him to be disloyal to the point of “killing” his father. Beth had no respect for Jamie’s self pity prior to the act of treason. Her disrespect grew to hatred after he turned in their father and the family. Classic storyline. She sees herself as the cause of her mother’s death and father’s lifelong grief. Thus she has taken it upon herself to sacrifice every aspect of her life to make her father happy. She has come to believe that this is the role each of the children should play.

The whole Monica character doesn’t advance the story unless it is for the long haul. Since Tate is part of the tribe and also a Dutton makes him the logical person who could unite the Res with the Yellowstone down the road many many years.
Whoever controls Tate will control it all I guess. But in the meantime, Monica is the most dislikable character of the “good guys”.
Her brother murders her husband’s brother while her husband murders her brother. Yet, she hates her husband because of it and Kace is too much of a man to ever let her know. Then she dumps him and cheats on him sorta with the PT. Then she moves in to the ranch and then wants Kace to move out. I just can’t stand her character as it is an unnecessary distraction.
But think about it - ultimately- Tate winds up Chief and is sole heir to Yellowstone. Game over.
