George is his closest acquaintance, but Jerry has no friends.

Agreed. Elaine was his clear #2, but George was his #1. Kramer was simply a mooch for the most part.

George. People who say otherwise don't understand the concept of best friend.

The correct answer is nothing. People who say otherwise don't understand the concept of the show. Nothing.

George for sure. You could also argue for Kramer over Elaine. They had the episode where Kramer and Jerry were basically married. Fighting like a married couple and what not for Kramer not getting home on time from work. I think Jerry had a very big soft spot for ole Cosmo. All that being said Elaine was #2.

Remember Jerry's reaction when Elaine was moving into his building? I don't believe he would have been as negative about George living above him.

He shared things about himself with George that Elaine would never hear.

Elaine tried to abandon the friendship more than once. Most notably with the bizarro friends.

Jerry and George would never... BFFs.

Jerry and Elaine weren't really "friends", they were that awkward "we're pretending to be platonic but really we both want each other but can't make an official romantic relationship work, though sometimes we give in and bang" relationship. I've been there. That's not your best friend, that's unrequited love.

George was his best friend.

Kramer was a socially awkward hipster who idolized Jerry.

Anyone who thinks the answer is Elaine is simply wrong. Have you ever even watched the show?

Nope. Has been massively overstated.

what? people worshipped Kramer, you never heard any in the streets screaming "hey jerry!!!"

but you heard "whats going on Cozmo??!"..."everything my man"

plus Kramer had connections across the eastern seaboard that Jerry couldn't dream of.

Kramer was the definition of cool. He had a guy pay for his stories for fricks sake. Kramer was anything but socially awkward. He was weird but he relate with everyone which is why he always got laid.

The list is
1. George
2. Elaine
3.Kramer

And it's not up for debate.

Also, to the guy who said Jerry had no friends. Jerry isn't Voldemort. He had plenty of friends. The idea that the Seinfeld characters were evil human beings is massively overblown.
