Jack Reilly

Guy won the league championship every year for like 30 years, except for that one year the loser kid choked it away.

He also usually won every game by blowout.

Coach Bombay turned a team full of losers, and a cake eater, and not only made them pewee champs of a suburb of Minneapolis, but made them Olympic champions shortly there after.

The Minnesota Miracle Man Gordon Bombay. Pretty good at the X’s and O’s and fundamentals but where he really shined was being able to find the recruiting and eligibility loopholes needed to build championship rosters. The man was a recruiting innovator.

Mickey was a fraud. He had already thrown Rocky out of his locker like a bum. It took Apollo wanting a local promotion to bring Rocky to relevance.

Terrible. Must’ve been a shitty Division; Couldn’t coach when the competition got real.

Some great coaches in this thread.
Just when I thought, "Yeah, greatest movie/tv coach", one of you posted another great.

Walter Matthau was awesome in Bad News Bears.
Tom Hanks - League of Their Own.
Bud Kilmer - Varsity Blues.
Lou Brown - Major League.

Mick - Rocky. As a trainer, he didn't come to mind, but he's awesome.

Good thread. Have an upvote.
