Is that not what this is about?

the series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the "Dance of the Dragons", and the war itself.

A series about the North would be 10x better than what we're about to get.

Multiple times. Not a real big fan of the storyline in the books either.

Wow. That might be the first time I've heard that. I know she's not the consensus most popular story line, but the worst, that might be the 1st time I've heard that.

I didn't say she was the worst storyline in the books or the show.

FWIW, I think Sansa, Daenerys, and the Sand Snakes are tied for the worst.

I want to say the long night, but having so much of that history lost and the reasons why things existed lost to time is what makes the books so good. Not sure I would want them hamming it up explaining every little thing.

After the final season of GoT I give nary a frick about anything else they do.

As long as tweedledumb and tweedledick aren't involved they have so much fun and interesting potential eras and stories HBO could put out a new series every few months and have content for years.

Side note, is Dunk and Egg worth reading? Like is it just ok, or is a must read for GOT book fans?

There's a ton of backstory on the Great Bastards, the Blackfyres, the Golden Company. Once upon a time I thought that info was going to tie back into the main story but who knows now?

It does provide a lot of depth to the Faegon storyline at the least. (Crackpot: Septa Lemore is Shiera Seastar.)

They killed that franchise.

I have zero desire to see anything set in the GOT universe.

theories like this and the rest on reddit (like the north remembers crackpot) are far more interesting than anything you will read from GRRM in the near future.

After the crap fest that was S8, I’m skeptical to even watch the new prequel series or any GOT prequel.

Any era that includes the Sword of the Morning and Barristan Selmy shredding people in it.
