They’re both good in their own ways but nothing got me more hyped than the Joker tease at the end of Begins.

It’s awesome and the perfect set for the trilogy.

But The Dark Knight is tGOAT comic book movie.

The Batman. BB is more of an opening act to a bigger story. The Batman is a completed arc and story.

The Batman, I loved until the end, which I thought was wildly hot garbage. The ending is so terrible that it has zero rewatchability factor.

Begins is fine. Solid movie

To each is own but imo TDK has been grossly overrated especially after Heath Ledger’s death.

Yeah, it's dissapointing because there’s a lot of great stuff in it. I love the beginning with Bruce narrating. I wanna see more of that. The whole funeral sequence and the batmobile chase scene are damn good.

No Batman ran better than Adam West.

My point was Batman’s reputation was tarnished with Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

I just thought it was far too grandious. Went from subtle detective crime drama with Batman(awesome) to ramping things up to insane city destroying chaos. I thought an intense ending where Batman struggles(but matures) on a more condensed scale would have set up the world much better if they choose to expand.

I realize the other Batmans were kind of grandious too...but that was a much different Batman IMO

The Batman felt a lot more like the Batman comics I enjoyed reading (at least until the end of the movie). More gritty serial killer hunting detective than superhero. I enjoyed it way more than Batman Begins

Completely agree. The big set piece with Riddler's goons reeks of studio interference.

I didn’t think the scene was bad, it was the transition from Falcone’s death to the reveal and Riddlers plan that was out of place and made it awkward. If they had switched the target order of Bruce Wayne then Falcone it probably works better. You have Falcone as the second to last target and make Bruce the final target as part of the flooding plan. Riddler tells Batman Wayne is the only one got away but he actually plans to kill Wayne with the flood it would move the tension from the Falcone resolution so the viewer is still looking forward to what comes after.

I enjoyed Begins more, but never liked Tom Wilkinson as Falcone. He was a good actor, but not right for that character. Turturro was a much better choice. Colin Farrell was great as Penguin too.

The Batman is great and underrated as far as this board goes, but Batman Begins is one of the tGoats.

Begins is one of the best origin films ever and really captures the heart and motivation of Batman.

The Batman does a really good job of depicting the detective nature of Batman. They can’t all have the same angle, so people are going to be taken a back a bit with Battison not being in prime form as his Bruce Wayne development curve is different than Bale’s.

Both enjoyable. Begins is one of the most enjoyable rewatches.
