Got to go with Tom Hagan or Sonny, right?

Fredo is Fredo. He isn’t even his own favorite.

Michael is a douche. An effective douche and I won’t deny his results but he’s a snake.

Sonny ain’t a good Don. He may not be the sharpest guy. But he’s loyal and protects his family and fights hard.

Tom is just a hard working guy in a thankless job and he handles it gracefully

What guy is named Sunny unless he's wearing Rollerskates and sitting in a hot-tub with Dirk talking about bees and dudes junk.

Tom was my favorite. He seemed to have the best of all the brother's qualities, calculating like Michael, funny like Sonny, nothing from Freido because he didn't have any.

So was he really not a good wartime consigliere or was that attitude part of Michael's ruse?

Sonny's shoulders we're too pointy for my liking

No, Tom wasn’t. He was too cautious to be a war time guy.

Good question.

*I think it was about wanting Tom to handle Vegas gaming authorities and not be attached to the NY street wars. The soldiers all risked getting arrested or killed; they wanted to keep Tom relatively clean.

I think it is that he is bad for the reason I stated above and Multiple people use that line in I and II.

So the guy who kills a police captain, goes into hiding, and comes back to win for his family isn’t loyal or fighting hard? I’m confused. Michael did the dirty work that absolutely needed to be done and was a brilliant strategist who gave up his perfect life as a war hero with a fiancé to serve his family. Without him, the Corleone family fades into oblivion quickly.

Michael wasn’t doing it for the family though. He’s so delusional, he thinks he is. That’s kinda the point. That’s what separates him from his father.

Sonny loses points for missing Carlo at least three times with his right hook.

In the book, Carlo pretends to be hurt by Sonny, but really, his punches were so soft, he felt no pain.

No, that’s not in the book at all.

Michael. He was the best of them at the start, but tragically ended up the worst.
