Where do you rank Gavin Belson (Silicon Valley) as the GOAT TV antagonist?

Every now and then I'll randomly think about the episode where Hooli streams the UFC fight and the opening is just like 15 seconds of Gavin doing karate kicks with the screen shattering over and over again

I agree with this, I'm not even sure he's the most important antagonist of the series.

It's too bad the guy who played Peter Gregory passed away. He was hilarious, and the Gregory/Belson rivalry played out over the course of the show would have been great.

Also, the character that replaced Gregory suckedddd. They should have gone in a completely different direction rather than just having a weak imitation of him in Laurie.

Agreed. Laurie grew on me a bit, but overall she was probably the worst regular character in SV.

It was hard to see him as Gavin Belson if you watched Big Love.

I feel the worst decision they made was replacing Erlich with Jian Yang. I think an eccentric brother storyline who appeared very helpful at first but became more and more encroaching would have been a far better storyline. It had probably run its course at that point nonetheless

I'll put on the last 3 episodes of season 1 probably once a month just to laugh my arse off at the church candy slap and the tech crunch prep.

The arc of Erlich’s death is pretty funny though, with the way it slowly escalates.

Not even best on that show. Jian Yang was way better. I wish he had more screen time.

It's hard to see him as Gavin Belson if you watched American Psycho.

Say what you want about TJ Miller, but he made the show IMO. The show went to shite when he wasn't on it.

The optimal tip to tip ratio scene in the s1 finale was/is one of my favorite scenes in all of television.

You might be right. I always hated his character but the show was definitely better when he was around.

I still piss myself laughing every time I see the scene where he smacks the frick out of that little kid.
