I really do think Tarantino is the king of soundtrack selection, in the past 30 years.

Lot's of good choices in this thread.
How about Skynard's "Free Bird" (the crescendo?) during the church fight scene in the first "Kingsman" movie?
Think it adds to the frenetic pace.

In A Gadda Da Vida I that big scene at the end of Manhunter. Perfectly timed with him crashing through the window.
Many, many scenes in the original Miami Vice.

I always associated Free Bird more with JENNAY high as a kite about to jump of the ledge in Forrest Gump

Bad Times at The El Royale- when Billy Lee plays "Hush" by Deep Purple. The tension is palpable.
Same song when Brad Pitt is driving through 1969 LA at night.

Came here to say this.
The song is gorgeous on its own. But paired with the subject of what's happening in the scene, it's a punch in the gut.

I know Titanic is cheesy, hasn't held up that well, etc but when The Carpathia arrives to N.Y. and you see the Statue of Liberty and the sappy music starts playing, it's got to hit you in the feels.

Bit of a reach but I'm a pretty big My Morning Jacket/Jim James fan- loved this scene from Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
