That movie was really bad.
Was he just hanging out in Boston and bored.

Ben has been busy with J Lo and their second divorce so Damon had to hang with the lesser, yet more talented, Affleck.

Watched it over the weekend. Its pretty bad.
Basically a Great Value version of The Town.
Damon hasn't aged well

Sucks to hear, trailer looked like this might be good fun.

The days of the big movie star are coming to an end. It’s more about quantity than quality now.
Guys are prob just trying to get work where they can.

I thought it was fine because I went in realizing that it was going to be kind of a on the run buddy comedy. People going in thinking that it was gonna be this serious heist movie didn’t understand the tone and tenor of the trailer.

It's not a movie meant to be taken seriously, they're basically just making fun of themselves. It got a couple of big laughs out of me.
Just don't go in expecting Ocean's 11 or The Town.

I always thought that him skipping a Bourne movie to do Elysium was a head shaker.

I mean Damon isn’t hurting for work man
I’ve heard good things about this movie so I’d actually watch it before trying to take the OPs word for it but it’s very hard to know as an actor when a movie is going to work or not. You sign up to act in it before filming so there’s 100 things that can go wrong on a production and there’s countless examples of actors thinking a movie would end their career and it ending up being a highlight of theirs, or the inverse of that

He has an underestimated amount of duds and headscatchers on his resume considering he was one of the biggest A-listers of his generation.
Like, at the peak of his fame, he did a Gus Van Sant movie where he and Casey Affleck got lost on a hike and the camera just followed them as they aimlessly wondered around until they died of thirst. That was the whole movie.

This sounds like a lost bet, or "hey we don't have anything going on the next few weeks, let's see what suckers watch this shite"

Nailed it.
Watched this Friday night and felt the same way.

I’ve always been a big fan of Casey Affleck. This was his vehicle, and bounce back from the Me Too accusations.
I enjoyed it because Casey’s fingerprints were all over it, but it’s far from great.

Apple has made a lot of quality stuff. I was expecting way more from this and not, as others have said, “hey bro, let’s shoot a movie this weekend??”
Actually now that I think about it, I’m not sure I made it all the way to the end. I can not remember anything after them being in a fire truck scene…

I thought the first 30 minutes were great. It definitely fizzles out before the end, but I wouldn't call it bad. I thought Casey Affleck and Hong Chau were good.

It's the first movie produced by his new production company "Artists Equity". I'm sure Apple paid a good amount for the movie, and he got everyone paid. Seems like a win for him.
And it was a decent mindless movie with a good cast. There's worse things to watch
