For me it would have to be Contact. I couldn't stop thinking about that movie long after I had seen it. Really made me frightened about life in a certain timeframe. Real strange and eery movie.

Eta: typo, sorry. Typing on my phone

Weekend at Bernies 2. I thought "Sure, I could have fun with a dead body once." But two times? It showed me it could be done.

This I guess for a serious answer. Also, the Seventh Seal.

I don't know about "expanded your mind and created deeper thought" but Paths of Glory had a pretty profound effect on me.

Primer had my head all messed up for days and even after reading explanations where I understood it really well, it stayed with me. Just such an awesome movie

Good call.

And also, on Contact...great movie. It always gets all kinds of unjust hate IMO.

It really does. I guess that some people though it was too anti climactic? I don't know. I thought it was really solid science fiction story in classic sense. That's to say that it wasn't just a Soap Opera in space with laser guns.

I never touched hard drugs again after watching Requiem for a Dream. So there's that.
