1. A serious movie about Thermopylae (like the one being worked on by Michael Mann before 300 sucked all the oxygen out of the project)

2. More films by Duncan Jones in the "Moon" universe (although I have not seen Mute, yet, either)

3. A film (or more likely a mini-series on HBO or Amazon) about Operation Paperclip

4. Either a series or films covering Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone character

Zero reason a high quality live action DBZ film series can’t exist with modern SFX.

I’d also love to see high budget series with directors familiar with the source material, on HBO or Netflix maybe, for The Sword of Truth and The Dark Tower.

Seriously, there is a series of Book written by Piers Anthony called "The Incarnations of Immortality" that would be a good to see on the big screen.

This would require a series treatment, I think. They were all pretty good, but the first (Death) would be the easiest to convert to a single long film. The Time one would have to be directed by Nolan.

I'd love to see a serious Jerry Lee Lewis biopic that examines his lust for fame vs his fear of going to hell.

I would center on the time period from the aftermath of his child bride scandal to the point where he threw away his country career rebirth.

I'd like to see a movie focused on a rasslin' territory in the Southern United States in the early 1980s, like Mid-South Wrestling.

I've heard so many wild stories from guys who traveled the roads back then, I'd bet it could work as a comedy or a drama. Sex, drugs, racial tensions, back-stabbings and violence; it could have it all.

Add to it the fact that the performers had to pretend it was real when out in public and fans were looking to stab the bad buys, and you've got a hell of a story.

I played on a little league baseball team with Coco B Ware's son around 1989/1990

I wish they would also do Star Wars episodes 7,8 and 9 finally and possiblly Indy 4

Beat me to it. I’d love to know what Indy did in his later career and what happened after they blew up the second Death Star.

I think Nexflix could do these in a 7-part movie series. There's a lot of crossover in all of the books.

FWIW, I don't count the 8th book "Nox" part of the main series but more as a supplement.

Actually, Piers Anthony has several series that would make good programming. Bio of a Space Tyrant is a very violent but strong series, the Apprentice Adept series and of course the "Xanth" Series is virtually never ending.

I love the Apprentice Adept series. Great Sci-Fi/Fantasy crossover concept.

Bio of a Space Tyrant is great, but kinda a slog.

Like you said, Xanth is neverending.

The Tarot Triology would be weird but great. It would have to be censored some, it's pretty graphic.

I like his stuff, but I suspect Piers is a creeper sexual freak dude.

HA HA...You've definitely read Piers Anthony to make that comment.

Bio is a slog, but it's really good. Very violent. I would love to see Tarentino have a go at this series.

The "game" in the Adept series is fascinating and the "serfs" requiring to be naked would make casting interesting.

An actual adaptation of Without Remorse. Amazon has nailed a lot of stuff lately. They complete whiffed on that.

Because I want to see a true to the book version of Rainbow Six. Eco terrorists and all.

something from the alien franchise that isnt some half arse prequal and done competently.

something on the more adult side/serious about pirates and open sea combat.

always in the mood for some space cowboy shenanigans like firefly or cowboy bebop. something original.
